Alex Smith deal or he stays

We miss the playoffs without him last year so what makes anyone think we aren't gonna keep him unless seduced by a tremendous offer?

The Dolphins have 3 picks in the 3rd round #75 #87 and #90. They are looking to cut Tua which will cause major dead money to there cap. I'd trade Mac to the Dolphins for there picks in the 3rd round, what say you?

Some of you fans act like they never draft any players that are good. Total nonsense. Just because they haven't done well in the first round doesn't mean tey can't draft. Most of their starters were draft picks that they got in rounds 3 or later.

No thanks. I'd rather keep him the year and let him get signed in FA for a potential comp pick. Maybe the comp is better and maybe it's worse than a 4 but I don't care. Not letting one of the better (if not the best) backups walk for chump change

Definitely. It's comparable value to getting a fringe top 10 2nd round pick and an additional 4th in the same draft.

I view this as an overpay and I don't think Miami would do it.

I think Phoenix's template is more realistic (mid-high 2nd rounder plus a conditional 4th-5th in the 2027 draft).

Dolphins also have Bobby Slowik as their OC, he was with us in '21 when Mac Jones was drafted and we were reportedly high on him

I'd trade him for their 2nd (43), that seems fair

or we could get creative
MIA: Jones + Rd1Pk27 + one our 4ths
