I'll tell you the same thing I told him, that was a short clip from an hour-long podcast where Jonny went into more detail. I choose to post the shorter clip because I thought it would better fit the attention span of posters in a fan forum where opinions are more important than analysis. You can go watch the longer clip if you like and make up your own mind, oh wait, sorry, you've already made your mind up, because you watched the games on TV, and have already broken down all of the nuances that Jonny talked about and found them wanting.
You did as well no?
No. I have had no issue with Jones playing, and if Brock weren't ready to go, I would have no issue with Jones playing the rest of the season and would rooting for him all the way. One of the things I really like about Jonny's videos is that they explain aspects of the game that, as a somewhat casual observer, I would never really see. Where a five-yard loss on a play just looks like a five-yard loss to me, Jonny has the ability to show where exactly the play broke down and point out how it was designed to work.
What he was doing in this short clip, and in the longer one as well, was just taking similar plays from each QB and demonstrating how each one approached the same situation. He isn't saying Jones is bad or anything like that, just pointing out how Brock is a little better at certain things. I can look at the evidence of that and say, oh, yeah, I see what he's talking about, and feel good about Brock coming back, while at the same time fully appreciating everything that Mac has done in his place. But, if you're not willing to invest the time to look for yourself, see the point's Jonny's trying to make and come to your own decision, instead of relying on your "opinion", then that's on you.
