I can see where your inspiration came from. SmokeyJoe on the other hand said he was looking up 49ers in the Olympics that was on the team in 2000. Nothing about the clues or my searches led me to Olympics. Curious how SJ got there

Yea, when he gave the event in 2000 clue I searched 'events that happened in 2000' broadly. Olympics was one of the top results along with a few other things like Y2K, the USS Cole bombing, Presidential election etc.

In the early going, I was glancing over the All Time Roster every day, looking for any little "spark" in or about someone's name.
Now I don't look at it often. But occasionally.

I went to college in Atlanta.
Before the 1996 Games, it was pretty typical for each succeeding Games to be called "The Best Ever."
When Juan Sam.. only gave the Atlanta Games a "Most Exceptional," people took it personally.
So I've been pretty keen on descriptions for the Games ever since then.
They were the first things I looked for when I researched the Sydney Games.

Precisely why Samarach could NOT go and call the Atlanta Games the best ever. And folks knew he couldn't.

And while we're still having this discussion late in the midnight hour (at least where I am), I am considering a kind of Tournament of Champions Grand Finale.
