He's got a nice motor and I think he's pretty good rushing from inside. He's the Arden Key of this iteration of defense

I know he isn't a rookie but it almost feels like he is. A good find for sure.

Man, whoever identified this dude after the SB deserves major props. It's crazy that he was acquired as a reserve/future contract. I'm watching SO work his technique, power, tenacity, rush plan, etc, and feeling confident in saying he's legit. Even when he's not getting home, the dude constantly moves the QB off his spot and affects the QBs drop. He's also a hammer in the run game. The squatty build, power and tenacity kind of reminds me of James Harrison.

He's also only 26 years old.

This kid is a keeper for sure, him, Bosa, & Beal could be a nice future trio, still need a legit speedy rusher opposite Nick, I do like Floyd & Gross-Matos, as short term guys, not long term.

This years version of Charles Omenihu and Kerry Hyder. Random depth DL who start getting a hand on the QB as often as an elite pass rusher for some reason.

Check out this rep vs Seattle in their money package with Sam playing a wide 4. Absolutely filthy win by SO. I'm sure Nick has been giving him pointers on the double swipe. I love that Sorensen is mixing up his personnel in these rush packages and also allowing his guys to rush standing up. One of the impressive things about SO's athletic profile is that he's an explosive dude in a short but BEEFY package.

I thought Gipson was going to revive his career here like Ebukam, Omenihu, Hyder, Key, etc.... but now it's Beal backing Sam O instead.

Seriously WTF Also, on a real note tho, how much better (names above) are those guys than our own Sam O Hung?

Other than Key, are any of them still as irrelevant today as they were with us?
