Yep. While I am not a huge fan of PFF ratings you can get a glimpse of how guy played and Givens PFF is consistently in the 30s to 40 range. In his small sample size Anderson passes the eye test and has graded better. Not sure what they see in Givens. If they promote Anderson again they will have to make a big roster decision or expose him.

Aiyuk opens one for CMC. But we'd need to cut someone to get Feliciano up, and then cut another to promote Anderson.

That said.. I agree he deserves a spot. IMO cut Bartch for Jon. Cut Patrick Taylor for CMC to come up. And then use the spot opened by Aiyuk for Anderson.

I know he'd prob be inactive but I don't want anyone stealing him. I don't want to bring back Givens. I want Anderson to replace him in 2025 and then long term.

The 49ers announced that they've promoted rookie DT Evan Anderson to the active roster after placing WR Brandon Aiyuk on the IR.

This is great. EA makes an impact when he's in there. I would have hated to see some other team snatch him from us.

I think he has more of a future with the 49ers than that. It's a position where impact players are needed, hopefully he can continue to be that for us.

I basically called this, well I said something like we'd waive someone then sign Anderson, glad they did, hoping it's more than 1yr, but they'd control him from 2025-2026 as ERFAs, then RFA in 2027, UFA in 2028.
