Showed some flashes

Agreed. He looked good yesterday.

He's shown more than Winters ever has that's for sure.

Still need to add at lest one more quality backer to the mix even if Greenlaw is retained.

I like what Bethune brings in run defense. Dude is a hammer and looks to punish ball carriers. He's a very violent hitter. What they really need is for him to mature as the green dot wearer (aka the captain of the defense). I thought he looked frantic communicating things to his teammates on Sunday. Things were chaotic and sloppy. I'm sure it's jarring to be thrust into the game after Fred went down. Hopefully, a full week of preparation as the starter will settle him down going into the next game.

Obviously, the drop off from the GOAT pass coverage LB to anyone is going to be astronomical, so it's not even worth discussing. It's always going to be bad there. Most people don't realize how insane Fred is in coverage.

Larry K seems to like him and thinks he will do well.

Bethune is tough. Not sure if he's just not that fast or just slow to react. He is a solid player I hope I hope he owns the position so we don't have to look elsewhere.
He's had a total of 86 snaps his entire career. Next man up but this is far stretch but I guess you have to start somewhere.

Larry K is a fraud and I used to listen to him trash the 49ers on Sport Byline late-night am sports radio for years and years. He loves the Raiders in his heart.
Perfect game for Tatum. Run heavy offense, just needs to able to cover Bijon as well
