I swear some of you don't learn to relax on the injury stuff. It sucks but it happens.
Cowing is a 4th round pick who flashes every time the team used him as a WR last year. Coaches talked about how great he looked and how much he took advantage of the offseason.
You can't control injuries sometimes. No reason to cut the kid. Put him on IR and let him heal up. Like what do you think we're even saving by cutting him?

I'm sure you can look it up easy enough.
Be sure to check how many targets while doing so. That should help you figure out what flashes every time the team used him as a WR…
Feel free to check preseason as well.

Thought you would know more since he is flashing. Would you describe the flashes to be more like lightning or the red emergency type.

I'd say he's flashed a good handful of times more as a WR than your posts have flashed any value around here.

Lol.....That's all you got? So more flicker than flash?
Cowing not getting a justified defense from you. Did you happen to buy a Cowing jersey?

No block no rock.. He was always a puzzling fit in a Shanny offense if he didn't excel at STs

Shanahan, just like his father, is always dreaming of getting a burner to bend defenses to the breaking point.

Yeah, a pulled hamstring getting a tear is a full reset.

Cowing was very much in the role of Andrew Hawkins or Aldrick Robinson in past Shanahan offenses….nice little piece to a WR depth chart, not some massive deal either.
dude got hurt and is on a cheap rookie contract. s**tty for him because it sounded like he was having a good offseason until the hammy hit him. Not sure why anyone is upset about him being on the team or overly defending him?

I don't think he flashed much or has shown much ever. Purdy threw 1 pass to him which was a bomb and under thrown. He showed speed to get deep there and made the catch. Other than that I would be hard pressed to think of anything he's ever done. To top it off he's injured a lot.

I think it's more about what coaches and media who are at practice have said. He did have some good plays in actual games considering his success% for his career is 66% and in 6 targets he caught the ball 4 times got 3 first downs and averaged 20 yards a catch. That's VERY LIMITED but also flashes good.
The simple reality is that Shanahan wants a cheap burner WR on the roster, and Cowing is the current attempt. If he can't get and stay healthy or contribute when he is healthy he'll be replaced too.

He flashed right to 6-11, why do we keep making these guys out to be all pro's?
It's ok to be critical of our young players until they earn something.

How do you go from someone saying a player "showed flashes" to being that they think they are all-pro?
It's okay to see the positives AND the negatives about a player. And if someone only talks about the negatives, someone saying something positive about a player should not be seen as necessarily denying the negative, let alone being so hyperbolic as to go from "flashes" to "all-pro".
