Move him to TE.

I think this might be the answer. Maybe a Deebo role instead.
If he is struggling to see the holes i do not think FB/lead blocker is the answer. But putting the ball in his hands in space and letting him put a hat on LB/DBs could lead to his success.

Said A backup.

Lol. Very compelling argument
Dude doesn't look like he can find the holes up the middle granted the OL wasn't helping but as soon as they put Wilson in the vision difference was night and day

As opposed to the extremely compelling argument that he's already a bust because he's not the backup? Or that Cowing should be cut because he's hasn't taken off yet?

Hard to argue against such compelling points.

YA..... a 4th round RB as RB3 IN THIS OFFENSE is a success......

I didn't say cut Cowing.....although he isn't looking too promising either, Wr do tend to take more time.but it's hard ro develop on IR..

It's what most 4th rbs are.

So you want to keep a bust on the roster?

Delanie Walker ? Delanie was an ironman and a wrecking ball. Guerendo will get hurt blocking people.

Guerendo is just someone with superstar athletic traits who gets hurt a lot, doesnt break many tackles and has subpar vision.

He's not a bad 3rd down situational/gadget back for returns to have...but question is whether he will ever be better than that. Those three fumbles in practice the other day probably landed him in the doghouse too. I think James is a lot more dynamic and elusive runner than Guerendo

They are?

Very possible but since we are thin at WR, not yet.
As much play as he was getting Sat I thought they might be shopping him. Unfortunately he didn't break one to drive up his value.

2022

2021
Michael Carter, Kene Nwangwu, Rhamondre Stevenson, Chubba Howard

2020
Joshua Kelly, LaMichael Perine, Anthony McFarland, Deejay Davis

2019
Bryce Love, Justice Hill, Benny Snell, Tony Pollard

2018
Nyheim Hines, Mark Walton, Ito Smith, Kalen Ballage, Chase Edmonds

2017

I stand by my statement. There are maybe 6 guys on that list that had significant impacts. Rest were backups.

9ers arent thin at receiver. They are hurt at receiver. Do you expect Cowing to play more than Aiyuk, JJ, Pearsall and Robinson?

Agreed on trying to get him in space like quick screens.

Turning out to be another day 2 pick RB bust.

Wasn't a day 2 pick.

Did they trade up for him?

Nice work. So don't draft a RB in the 4th. Not a lot of quality.Did the 49ers get the memo.

One could argue, ,,,,,,is IG a RB..........

Would you say Williams, Sermon, Price and IG are in the RB2 category? I see
3 RB0 and a RB3. Remember two of those RBs were drafted before the 4th.

Cowing did zero last year with opportunity due to BA and Pearsall injuries. MAybe he gets healthy and shows something with BA and Robbnson out. I am not holding my breath.

I could be wrong but with these late day 2 early day 3 RBs, didn't they give up other picks to move up and get most of them as well?

I see no reason to cut someone like Cowing who's dirt cheap right now, they gain next to nothing at this point.

Don't remember if they moved up either.

Cowing going to IR probably.
