No chance he's playing. Last time he aggravated this pcl injury he was out 4 weeks or so.
Not going to insult him behind a keyboard and call him a p***y but just unfortunate he can't stay healthy. Frustrating because it seems he reaggeavted against bears trying to cut back inside with 3 defenders there. Just step out of bounds!

At least Jimmy G played through an injury in the 2021 finale when the Niners needed a win vs the Rams to get into the playoffs

Not defending Pearsall, but WR and QB are not even in the same league as far as movement, cutting, explosion, etc.

I agree that he may need to start running out of bounds or start going down like the old Rams WRs used to do just to stay on the field

The annoying thing in all of this is that if we didn't green light Brock to play in that Jags game where he clearly wasn't ready from the turf toe then not only does Brock not miss as much time as he did but Ricky also likely doesn't mess up his PCL. Pretty sure the injury happened when he was diving for a wide pass and fell on his knee on the sidelines hard surface.

Romeo Doubs, Wandale Robinson, Alec Pierce, and George Pickens (probably franchised) are free agents. All of which are not yet 26 and all of which are better than Pearsall (and most likely better than Brandonio Aiyuk-Brown post surgery and post stay in the nuthouse. Oh and all started at least 14 games.

I really hated the decision to start BP in the Jags game from the beginning. Made no sense whatsoever. Just a dumb decision.

People here criticizing Pearsall's frame but I look at Tetaroa McMillan and he looks just like Pearsall.

Wouldn't have mattered. All of pearsalls long term injuries happened on everyday football plays. There was the hip drop tackle but that wasn't one that kept him out.

I'm getting frustrated but I'm hoping he's been horribly unlucky and the injury bug goes away next season and hopefully the rest of his career

All? He's got one afaik. The PCL injury. And while it's a play that does happen often you get fluke injuries when landing on the sidelines the wrong way.
Puni had that injury early in the year after preseason and you could see a clear drop off in his play. Took him a bunch of time to get back to form but he's not out there running routes, cutting or getting tackled. He can wear a knee brace and not impact his performance in a big way like a WR.
