That tackle that he got hurt on him sure looked like an illegal tackle.

We need speed on the field too. He doesn't have it.

He ran a 4.41 forty. Cowing who people consider fast ran 4.38. Three 1/100ths of a second don't make a difference on the football field. Worthy ran a super fast 40 and he hasn't done much with the Chiefs. He's avergaing about 600 yards per season and 4 TDs. Pearsall could easily match that if he was healthy.

Low 4.4's or 4.41 is actually pretty fast. Not every guy runs a 4.3 something. You get so used to hearing about that in the NFL people act like it's super normal. Rather than extraordinary. Lots of people even run 4.55 or 4.50. Or even 4.45. His time is pretty decent fast. Just not blazing. But he's not at all slow. Throw in 6'1" and change and he has a pretty decent frame too. He is a bit thin though. Which may be bad for injuries. Mostly he runs really good routes. Which gets him open. Hands are good and he catches it. It's a matter of staying healthy on the field.

Is that the one where they can't hang on to the runner and use their own weight to bring em down? I lose track of all the new rules supposed to protect players. I strongly feel that the receiver/runner can develop their own methods when being tackled to avoid injuries. Rice was a master of that.

Hip drop is dangerous because they are reaching, grasping desperately, laying full out, losing control of their body. I honestly don't think it's intentional most of the time. It's tackling a very fast player moving away from you with speed. By laying out. Then you pull him down awkwardly and land on him as you are falling. It's just the physics of a very difficult tackle with speed and gravity.
I would feel so damn confident about the offense carrying them in the playoffs if only this dude could stay on the damn field.

He really does make the offense better. He's fast with decent length. Excellent routes and hands. He's certainly the best WR we have left. It's a big drop off without him in the game.
I get the feeling he won't be playing against the Colts. Probably better for him to rest those injuries.

Hey Buddy
Either Cowing or Watkins have to step up or going to need a draft another WR by the 3rd because up to the point Ricky has just had a tough time staying on the field.

(getting shot doesn't count and no one should hold that against him)
I am not sure why so many on here think he is injury prone. They act like because he missed so much of last year with a gunshot wound and actually did get hurt early this season that all that adds up to injury prone.
