And leave the Kyle Shanahan circle jerk intact ? No thanks bud. I'm glad there are objective posters on this forum that put things in perspective. Instead of celebrating every asinine decision that clown makes. Hell we got posters already defending Staley as DC and Sorenson at ST, basically calling for the "run it back" strategy that's failed for the past 8 years. Glad to be not part of that goof troop club…

Nothing but losing. What's the point? It messes with my mental health and makes me unproductive at work and I neglect other areas of my life during football season.
I don't know what it's like to be a winner. You older folks should appreciate your memories because some of us don't have those.
I was exactly your age when the Niners won their 1st SB. Until then they hadn't even been to one. They hadn't won an NFC title. To make it worse the Raiders were riding high in the 70s and we had to listen to thise loudmouths.
Don't give up. Real fans stick with their team. At least you've seen them in 3 SBs in the last 12 years. That's a lot better than most teams.

Hopefully the point is that you really enjoy watching NFL and specifically watching the 49ers. Sure, I'd be ecstatic watching them win another SB, but I still really enjoy watching them play, so for me that is the point and why I choose to watch them.
>>I don't know what it's like to be a winner.
Please believe me....YOU are neither a winner nor a loser based on what a sports team does that you happen to follow and cheer for. Try to enjoy the experience, and not focus solely on whether or not the team wins a SB. We all want that, but it does not define us in any way.
>>It messes with my mental health and makes me unproductive at work and I neglect other areas of my life.
You sound pretty invested in watching the team. Try to just enjoy the ride, it's good to cheer them on, but keep it in perspective. Enjoy the draft, enjoy the regular season games, enjoy watching the teams you don't like lose games, hopefully enjoy the 49ers in the playoffs, but this is just a tiny part of your life. If the Niners win, then THEY win, not you, and if the Niners lose, then THEY lose, not you.

Entirely up to you.
I could no more stop being a Fan than I could stop breathing.
My guess is that there are 25+ NFL Fanbases that would LOVE to have their Team being a perennial Playoff Team that contends for the SB every year they stay healthy, even if they don't win the trophy,
I'll put up with the bad times and continue to support the Team and hope for better next season.

Yo dog, untie your manhood to this team. I've been a Niners fan since 1967. My Dad and his friends and co-workers had season tickets to the Niners AND the Giants. So, I also saw a LOT of losing. But, one day I saw them beat the Cowboys in the NFCCG (after losing, I think, 3 playoff games in a row to them). And just the excitement of the Niners being in their 1st SB was exciting. They went on to win and things haven't been the same. They will win again. Hopefully it's in your lifetime. But, remember, it's just a game

Will I ever stop watching? Hell no, I'll always watch, root, might yell a tiny bit, not like I used to, keep doing my site, the cap stuff, but won't let a loss get to me like I used to, last season(2023) I was on edge, nerves all year long, the SB loss was devastating, same when we lost with Harbaugh as HC, but it is what it is, do I think we got robbed, sure I do, no holding calls on the KC OL pure BS, but it is what it is, they're gonna win again cause Goodell wants a three peat so badly, and the whole Taylor Swift s**t, I like her, respect her, agree with her political views, but I don't watch a football game to see her & Caitlyn Clark sitting there doing high fives to each other, I watch football to see football, not a celebrity, I guess that's what pissed me off so much about last season, like the NFL wants that publicity, just annoying, need to stop being greedy too, I legit hate the NFL, Goodell, etc... But what can I say I love my team, but again don't let it get to me personally..
Goodell is the Vince McMahon of the NFL. Should put things in perspective in terms of the lengths he'll go just to churn a profit…
For once we agree on something, Goodell is like Vince McMahon, a megalomaniac, narsassitic, just an annoying a-hole who everyone hates except the owners it seems.

I agree as well. As far as greed goes that's not going to stop. One thong I've learned in life. The more money a person has the more they want. It's neve renough. Collecting more money becomes a hobby instead of a need. The owners want more. The league wants more. The players want more. Unfortunately the fans don't get more.

Yea, you probably should. We all should. We probably won't though. It's just a game.
haha this.
The night of the SB I left the zone and didnt come back till after the season started. Didn't think about football even once.
Spent time with my kids. Coached on my sons football team.
It was glorious.
Like an idiot and an addict I came back.

Are you a real fan or not? Not sure you can claim to be if this is a serious question you're contemplating. Man up, adjust where the 49ers rank on your list of priorities to bring some balance back to your life and back the squad faithfully till you die, or quit yer whining and quit already.
