27-10 49ers.

It's kind of laughable how many fans here are so confident in this matchup. The Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes, a good running game, and a secondary that's really good. Furthermore, they crushed the 49ers last season. This game is about as close to a pick'em as you can get.

Yes it will be tough but when the Niners faced the Chiefs last season the Niners were a struggling football team. They had just traded for CMC and it was his 1st game and was on a snap count. Niners also had key players who were nowhere near 100% in that game. Ward and Bosa to name two. Also the Niners had Jimmy G at QB.
Finally catching up to all the media content and wow…so many talking heads and TikTok "analysts" just picking the Chiefs with ease…some even suggesting we get blown out.

Am I missing something? I get the chiefs are on a bit of a roll but they haven't been blowing anyone out lately. Didn't they also barely win the last two games?

Recency bias plus Taylor Swift simps.

All of them keep saying we have the best players but Reid and Mahomes are gonna beat us. Well we've not played our best ball since early December. We did it last in spurts this postseason but on Sunday night we will see the early December 49ers and we'll put in work on these Chiefs
I would like this final score.

Yeah but concern for me is if our D doesn't step up, Mahommes will easily put points on the board. They almost remind me of Brady when he only had Gronk but they could still found ways to beat good teams. Love and Goff easily moved the ball on us and luckily our D made stops at the right moments. We can't be down 17 at half time, that's for sure. The KC D is too good to let a team back in it.

It has been crazy. I have avoided it all week bc I've just never seen a team counted out so quickly and so confidently with very few reasons as to why.

Everyone picking Chiefs. Every reason, Mahomes and Kelce.

it's just maddening that it's so lopsided.

It's quite odd seeing so many pick the Chiefs. I didn't think the percent of Chief picks would be this high. Especially since we are favored by 1.5 or 2 points or whatever its at now.
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow might have dished out the final word on the topic.

"Well, first of all, you better be a game manager as a quarterback, otherwise it's going to go haywire immediately and you're not going to be able to operate the offense," Burrow told Sports Illustrated's Robin Lundberg during an exclusive interview at Super Bowl Radio Row. "That's a prerequisite to playing the quarterback position is you have to be the game manager. You have to know situations."

Purdy is surrounded by plenty of offensive weapons on the 49ers' offense, from running back Christian McCaffrey to tight end George Kittle to receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. But in the playoffs, Purdy has relied on his athleticism to pick up crucial first downs to help San Francisco beat the Green Bay Packers on a touchdown drive in crunch time and battle back from a 17-point deficit against the Detroit Lions.

"Brock has made tons of plays with his legs outside the structure of the offense," Burrow said. "All you gotta do is go watch the tape, and you see Brock is playing at a high level."

Burrow saw Purdy up close back in October when the Bengals handed the 49ers 31–17 loss, San Francisco's third straight defeat. But since then, the 49ers are 9–2, riding Purdy's play under center all the way to Super Bowl LVIII.

Burrow is my second fav qb in the league

I wouldn't say it's laughable. People will always have blind faith in their team. Especially those where sports is their lives and I don't fault them for it. I do agree it will be hard for the 49ers to win especially with how they have looked the last two weeks. People really seem to be ignoring Mahomes in all of this too. Mahomes trumps all of Green Bay's and Detroit offenses come post season. Those regular season numbers are irrelevant.

Where are these over confident fans? Both bad takes
