Yes the shear amount of beat downs we have given them and the cowboys has almost reversed the years of angst they caused.

6 days rest playing until midnight local time vs home field and 3 weeks rest.... It should be a slaughter on rest alone even without completely lopsided talent.

Just to play devils advocate - 3 weeks is a lot of rest to go play a team that is in momentum mode.

All that said I see the 9ers with the advantage.

We should win this. I hope it doesn't rain. My general feeling is the Packers are a lot better than a #7 seed. But we should still win this game and host the NFC Championship game.

Dallas said the same thing. "We SHOULD win this." Should win is not WILL win, unless you are prepared and execute. Dallas obviously was neither prepared for this team nor did they execute. We have to do both.

If the 49ers had a history of collapsing in the playoffs like the Cowboys I'd be worried.

In the final four regular season games, the Packer run defense looks like this:

Bucs - 99 yards, 3.7 ave. - season average - 3.4 ave.
Panthers - 96 yards, 3.8 ave, season average - 4 ave
Vikings - 67 yards, 4.2 ave, season average - 4 ave,
Bears - 75 yards, 3.0 ave. season average - 4.5 ave

Tonight, they gave up 123 yards, 4.0 ave. However, Dak got 45 yards for a 7.5 ave. Pollard got 56 yards on 15 carries for 3.7 ave.

All that to say, don't be fooled by season-long numbers. The Packer run defense has been pretty good the last five games, including tonight.

I'm just watching the Packers Cowboys game and damn when did the Packers get good. I was not paying too much attention to them. Love is actually really good. I'm not thinking this game is as easy as I first thought.

Yes the Cowboys blow but the Packers are legit.

Steve Young used to equate a Superbowl quest to climbing a mountain. Winning the division and a high seed is the base camp. Now it's painted end zone season and time to assault the summit.

Health wise and match up wise the climbing conditions could not be more favorable.
