The guy who has thrown less than 600 passes his entire life. Why do you have self-esteem?

The question remains, why would you use three first round picks on a guy with so few actual passing attempts when you have a roster that is ready to compete for a championship. The pick continues to look puzzling in that light.

Looking forward to a more in depth analysis which will show that abysmal pass protection can affect a QB, especially one learning on the fly.

Who is learning on the fly?

The guy who has thrown less than 600 passes his entire life. Why do you have self-esteem?

You think he's only thrown 600 passes his entire life?

-Moody was hardly missing anything

-Kinlaw was finally better

-Mason was catching the ball better

-Womack has been good in coverage all camp

I haven't seen a single thing in this game so far to support any of this. Tf were they watching?

The problem is that you have to trust people with little to no actual football background and varying agendas to deliver that information.

And some of it may very well have been the honest truth, like Moody not missing kicks and hitting it from deep but it is pretty disconcerting that he whiffed on his first in-game opportunity.

Some guys are also "gamers" no matter how they practice, and some guys look great in practice and it never translates to game day. That's why they play the games.

He'll look good when he's playing somewhere else for a coach that cares about his development. Dude is still younger than some of the rookie QBs. He's younger then O'Connell. 😆

Excuses excuses.

If this were practice, beat writers would rush to twitter to post:

Trey Lance 10/15, 1 TD

with nothing else and everyone would think it was a good day for him.

why context matters

Never should have been drafted that high just based on potential with a ready to win roster.

It's year 3, this isn't on the fly lol

It is though because he's a multi year project and results are far from guaranteed.

Yeah, I feel like its a good reminder that even if they're all saying the same thing, that still doesn't necessarily mean anything at all.

One game or one kick doesn't define a guy but man.. It wasn't that far out.

A kick is a kick, and unlike other positions, there's much less excuse for a miss in the preseason.
The backup OL does not look very good. Trey's play with porous OL play was pretty bad. Didn't see too many running plays.

No, not yet. But it's getting closer.

Well, no one who isn't on the team's coaching staff knows WTF they're talking about.

With kickers, you'd think it'd be an easy evaluation, but there are 100s of guys out there that can make 90% of their kicks in practice. A much smaller number can make them in an actual game. Moody doesn't appear to be one of them, which is probably why they brought in Zane Gonzalez in the first place.
