DT Sebastian Valdez impressed with his raw power, earning a fitting nickname from RG Dominick Puni and the offensive line.

"I actually haven't gone against him yet, but from what I see—we call him 'The Hulk,'" Puni said. "He looks crazy. He's really built, he's fast, he's twitchy, he's good off the ball. He gives us trouble in one-on-one pass situations because he's really twitchy, and he's got good hands. But once he gets going, he's going to be a problem. I think they got a good one with him."

The Givens injury is concerning and it may be the opening Valdez needs to make the cut.

Really there is VERY little competition at DT. Kalia Davis can't stay healthy, Jordon Elliot is terrible against the run. Givens was the front runner to be the veteran at DT.

It's kind of amazing, but it could be Collins, West, Anderson, Valdez at DT.
Christian Wilkins anyone??

He's not a player you want on a young team. He's a disruption this team does not need.

I hope Isaac Guerendo isn't going to turn into another back like Mitchell, a guy who flashes real ability but can never stay on the field,

Average RB in the NFL has a 2.6 year career ... Guerendo is on year 2.

All the other stuff aside, sounds like he needs another surgery on his foot

That's literally every rb ever

It's why you dont draft them in the first round and you have a couple solid backups

I think not. While it's certainly a position with a high attrition rate, it's not like there aren't any backs in the league who have come in and been able to make it through at least one whole season without getting an injury that sidelined them for significant time. The point is that Mitchell came in, did really well as a rookie and then was, literally, never healthy enough to play more than a few games in any of his subsequent years with the team. All I'm saying is I hope that isn't going to be the same scenario with Guerendo. He seems like he has some talent, but if he's going to get hurt every time he gets on the field, what's the point.

Annoying how these guys just juggle free agent wide receiver's.

They must have 20 rooms booked at the local Holiday Inn where they tell players just chill out there for a couple days after they get cut until they get resigned again.
