He's misrepresenting what was actually said again. He's done it consistently.

I said people were calling JJ a WR1 ... it keeps happening. People out there were wanting to give him $20M+ a year and a 5 year deal. People are nuts.

I will easily accept that JJ is the most known and reliable of the current WRs we expect to be available for game 1.

This is what the posters have been saying pure and simple. This is what Koldo* said above. The consistent point, that you have continually twisted, is that with Aiyuk injured and the unknown of what he will look like when he returns, Jennings is our most proven, reliable, receiver on the team. Maybe one of the young guys steps up and proves otherwise this season, but there is simply no argument currently to suggest that any available WR on our roster is better than Jennings.

And precisely nobody, that I've seen at least, has suggested paying him like a #1 receiver, including GGG who was the one who suggested a 5 year extension. Maybe familiarize yourself with what #1 receivers, outside of players still on their rookie deals, are actually making.

I've never said he wasn't the more proven, reliable receiver on the team. I just think he's limited. And yeah, other people have talked him up way higher than he should be.

Yeah, likely in response to you talking him way lower than he should be. To each their own on that though

I see others that think we should play out this year and let him walk.

Looking at some comp WRs high end and low end:
Christian Kirk = $18m/yr
Darnell Mooney = $13m/yr
Rashod Bateman = $12.25m/yr
Darius Slayton = $12m/yr
Tutu Atwell = $10m/yr

3 year $13m-$15m avg is a market value offer.

And the $13M a year for 2 years that came up recently is a fine deal. $15M a year for 3 is a little much to me. If he's the 49ers WR3 or WR4 over the next couple years great, if he's the best WR on the team at the end of this year then the team is in big big trouble.
