i think this is true.. then we will have to deal with trey is just a game manager but lets not get ahead of ourselves. lol

At some point in every season.. you will have to throw it to win. I want to see him do it I already know we can run the ball.. let's establish two dimensions of offense.. not just one dimensional. We can have both great running game and FQB who can air it out.

Looking at the forecast.. it looks better than ppl make it out.. says occasional showers.. not bad.

moore?

I think I saw Moore playing in the second half of the last preseason game which makes me think it's Odum that will be starting week 1.

I'm sorry but I can't believe the way he spells his name. It's dum.

I see a Lamar Jackson first year starter debut esque performance for Trey coming up. Lamar led the Ravens past the Dolphins 59-10 in his first full season as a starter. I expect nothing less

Don't get your hopes up, it's not Shanahans motus operandi.
Glad we saw CHI in PS and before season began, because Lovie sure had the Wide 9s figured out. Granted we didn't have Arik or Nick playing but CHI sure sliced and diced our Wide 9s. Both HC and DC know CHI has an answer to wide 9s, altho even CHI has no idea how their O will do against wide 9s with Nick and Arik in it.

i wonder if the splits in the Wide 9s end up not quite so far apart...

I don't believe he's against a great pass O.. why even draft TL.. if not to use him? We can be balanced.. but balance means if you will run 40+ times, which we do, then you must also throw 40+ times. That is balance.

I think you're thinking of Houston Texans if you are talking about Lovie Smith.
Weeks 1s are weird, and Chicago has a new coach? I expect them to play hard at home.
So does the rain neutralize the crappy CHI field? Alot of people (including myself) were wore worried about the crappy field and the potential of injuries similar to that Jets field a couple years back. Does this weather help?

That may be true, however, this is a very winnable game that should provide a great opportunity for Lance to work on reading defenses, picking out receivers, and putting the ball in the right spot. I don't want to see Shanahan keeping the training wheels down low. Let him learn by doing. If it is wet, learn to throw in the rain. If it is windy, let him learn to deal with that as well.

With the exception of the Seattle game on December 5, the back half of our schedule will be in locations where adverse weather is not a factor. However, in the playoffs, we might be in Green Bay or Tampa where the weather is usually a factor at that time of year. This first game is a great time to see how the young man can deal with it. I don't want to see KS make the same mistake he did against the Vikings where all he did was run instead of giving Garoppolo a chance to keep his game on track.

Were there issues with the Bears field last year? I don't remember. It's sure not that s**tty turf that the jets have
