I think he clears waivers. I doubt another team would put a claim in for him to be a #2 or even their #3 QB when most teams have a guy like him that can fill that role.

Vikings say hello.

Exactly, no way he clears waivers

So he will then make a teams final roster? Nah I don't see that

They're holding out all the injuries until the season opener. I just hope these guys are in shape when that first game comes around. Teams are so afraid to play the starters now that they should change the name to National Fear League.

Add to that the absolute trash heap that is Soldier Field and there's reason to fear.

Not to mention the deep dish pizza.

and the game was on astroturf! There were two dings to some backups, but they didn't look too serious of an injury.

Absolutely 0 reason to play any starter dealing with any level of injury just to get them preseason reps.

Lol, so true.
Watching the replay on CW. Tim Ryan looks like an early 90s action movie villain.
There were lots of complaints but we had 344 yds to 195 for Vikes. Also TOP was 37 to 22 …that is we had the ball 60% of the time. Also, altho a PS game, we did win on some nice drives in the 2nd half. Considering kyle kept moving Poe, Burford, Banks, Sutherland, Jeckelj, West around like pieces on a chessboard, there was a lot to like. Sure impressed with our 2 backup QBs, Both did well and showed some things, like well, pump fakes, and also could throw darts. Ball catchers (WRs , TEs, and RBs) had fumble fingers, esp in first half. Hudson came on big in 2nd half with 5 (of 6) catches.

Yes, OLine did not distinguish itself, but when one guy looked good at OG or C or OT, he got moved. Kyle needs to know who he is keeping and where. Possibly,, and don't laugh, our OL could actually be better than last yr when RT Side of OL was a problem most of yr and esp at end of season. It's impossible to know really know what which guy did when we don't know the caliber of player he was playing against. Here is where film comes in. Whereas Center continues to be a question mark, RT looks like biggest problem…altho we do have some talent to move around .

DL, considering who wasn't playing, looked good, and Javon got a taste of playing post op knee reconstruction. Overall for a game of 2s and 3s against 2s and 3s, , one would have to say we did pretty well. Unfortunately, the Vikes 2s and 3s didn't look very good. Need to keep that in mind when reviewing what our guys did.

I don't think the starting center is a question mark. Backup center is definitely a question mark though.

Only one we lost was Mostert and he missed 99.5% of the season last year.

A lot of really solid takeaways from the depth that this team has and some up and coming potential stars of the team, overall the game was fairly underwhelming and definitely had the old Week 4 of the preseason feel to it. Always appreciate and love the support from the webzone!

The doofus brains also kept harping on the fumble whatever the Viking guy created when we were getting ready to score at the goal line, 2nd half. The only reason it was a fumble because the Viking player was offsides and the zebra's had their eye's closed or they're practicing to F up calls for this season, as usual.
