Really good college player but doesn't have it for the next level IMO. You can't have him down in the box because he'll get swallowed up. He doesn't have the speed to play back as a single high safety so really I think he has to make it in the NFL as a special teams cover guy. Even then there's going to be other guys who are bigger and faster who will excel in that role.

We shall see but obviously there are reasons he wasn't drafted. Just surprising to me.

Does Poe have potential at center?

SUMMARY: A one-year starter at Mercer, Poe was an ideal fit at right guard in head coach Drew Cronic's wishbone-style offense, which spread out the defense laterally (motions, reverses, sweeps, etc.). A 235-pound lineman in high school and 250-pound fullback in junior college, he was an All-American blocker at the Division II level and played at a high level in his one season in the FCS, grading particularly well on his 2021 Alabama tape. An alum of Bruce Feldman's Freak List, Poe is a loose, explosive mover with remarkable range for a 300-pounder. While his college highlights are exciting, his below average length and impatient, disjointed play style will make it tough for him to find regular work in the NFL. Overall, Poe is more of an undersized and frenetic battering ram than controlled blocker, but he is twitched up with the pulling athleticism and raw strength that will be enticing for certain schemes. Some scouts believe his best NFL position could be at center or even fullback.

The #49ers are signing former #Pittsburgh WR Taysir Mack, per source. Mack was often @kennypickett10's favorite target at Pittsburgh!#NFLDraft @TheDraftNetwork
