QB Brock Purdy Thread

Brock being forced to miss the 1st month of the season might not be the worse thing. It actually might be the best thing because it forces them to see what they have with Trey and not just for a game or two. And if Trey struggles it's not like the 1st 4 or 5 games are going to kill their season. This team always starts out slow. They started 3-5 in 2021 and 3-4 last season.

They are going to be worse than that this year. Building a big deficit early in the year isn't exactly great. We ended up in Philadelphia and getting bounced. When we could have had the #1 seed.

They have been resting him for weeks and weeks already. Time to go here soon. If he still has a torn arm and is moving it around even doing household stuff it will continue to be inflamed. It's never not going to be inflamed. He has a tear.

I think I'm gonna trust the doctor not some random fans opinion.

Lost on the road in the playoffs too. Have yet to lose in the playoffs in Santa Clara!

The best thing would be that our players are healthy and the ones that give us the best chance to win are playing.

Nothing anyone can do about it in any case.

Gotta draft a QB and also bring in a servicable vet, no Sudfeld or Josh Johnson types. They have no choice.

Lance coming off an injury, hasn't played much..really don't know what he is. Purdy coming off an injury..dont know when he'll be back.or if he'll be the same.

No doctor here but doesn't seem to make sense. How can delay in surgery doesn't change timetable? That's really good news though - he must have spoken to a doctor or a source close to Purdy.

Let's hope both our young guys are ready 100% for training camp.

I have told you guys that we were initially looking at right prior to the 3rd preseason game for Brock at right around 8/22 but now we are looking at full recovery after training camp has concluded and then into prep for week 1 and the season beginning. I have said all along that with 13 picks we will draft another young QB and keep our QB room young and cheap. We will now need to bring in the best vet we can muster under the cap as well so we can have an offseason program while keeping Trey healthy while Brock waits on his surgery and the ensuing recovery

He said doesn't change it "much". A couple of weeks won't affect him being ready for week 1 as long as it goes well.
