I have to say this loss is the worst in a long time because this year I really thought we had a good chance. Mostly everyone was healthy and I really started believing. I can't believe it's been 29 years since winning the last.

For me, it's on par with the Roger Craig fumble.

Nah. No way. That was for a chance to 3 peat.

Agreed. This season was really sad the way it ended, but that Craig fumble will forever be the most painful play in niner history.

Riding home after that game was one of the quietest trips we ever had. My buddy and I were devastated. We just sat quietly listening to the radio recap.

Craig fumble was not the one for me... it was the 87 Vikings Upset...

I actually had the same experienced on the Vikings upset.. we had the # 1 offense, the #1 defense.. and we just came out flat against the Vikings.. we just came in over confident in that game..

Driving home from the game, I was pinching myself every 10 minutes trying to find out if I was dreaming..

Yes I was at that game too. That was a shocker but it wasn't an end of game loss where we had it locked up. That was just a crazy game where we couldn't stop those wide receivers.

Ya....that was very unexpected.
Interesting to hear Brock's answer about Shanny's offense at 6:06. We always hear about how difficult this offense is to grasp and how it typically takes multiple seasons for QBs to get settled. Even Matt Ryan said it took him 2 season to get situated, but here is Brock, a rookie and the last freakin' pick of the draft, saying that he feels "Shanny makes it easy for a QB." I wish I could have a candid conversation with Shanny about Brock. I think he'd tell me he feels they hit the jackpot with this dude.

I think fans took Matt Ryans comments and applied it to every qb to make an excuse for them. Ppl said it about Mullens, Bethard. Naw they just sucked. It doesn't take 2 years for everybody. It took Matt Ryan 2 years. Might take Lance 3 or he might suck. Looks like Purdy has grasped a lot already and won't need 2 years. Just progress and become a better player

All he has to do is get healthy and come midseason depending on how well or how bad Trey is doing he can jump right back in and do what he started to do last season. What a find this guy has been! I just want both guys to get healthy and be all they can be and then we have good cheap problems that can net us another draft haul if we have to unload one of them

Kyle got lucky with Purdy, I mean the Kyle hit the lotto in franchise QBs,as far as my opinion is concerned. Us fans are fortunate to have Kyle as coach who's so dang *lucky* with picking his young QBs. (Luck is usually spelled W.O.R.K. )

Look at the absolute MILF in the back though.

Brock's mom lol

Maybe he really *is* twelve!
Fix the elbow. He throws touchdowns and wins games. Super Bowl. I got this team in the Super Bowl next year with Brock_STAR Purdy.

I agree Kyle got lucky with Purdy but it's way too soon to call him a franchise QB. How do we know he's not going to be injury prone like Jimmy. Franchise QBs come along once every 5-10years. Some teams never get one. Look at the Bears. Purdy can be good and help this team win without being a true franchise QB. Just like Jimmy G.

Agree, if Kyle can continue to work on more getting durable players. Super Bowl is up there in possibilities next year!
