I don't think Purdy will be rushed. I think his family and his agent are aware of his situation.

He put in, IMO, $10-15 million worth of work this year. He's going to get paid and wants to have a long career and I don't see him caving to pressure from anyone.

Where was it said that he'd be putting a long career in jeopardy if he goes the repair route, when it seems to me he could always do the Tommy John reconstruction in the unlikely event the repair didn't hold. Kyle and John seem confident that the repair will be appropriate, and they have more information than we do.

It's been a week. Not sure how soon someone with Brock's injury needs any type of treatment in order to heal correctly. I would find it very odd if he didn't make a decision this week.

It concerns me a little that Lynch has really stuck to this 6 month time table, even when Purdy himself has stressed that nothing has been decided, and literally all options were still on the table. But, I also worry about Purdy rushing HIMSELF back. The reality is, a 7th round pick becoming a starter (especially at QB) is a HUGE longshot! Circumstances lined up and Brock absolutely made the most of it. But he watched Lance losing his grip on the starting job next year - becaue of injury and Brock's play...and now Brock's hold on that same starting job is in jeopardy - because of an injury. So yeah, I could very easily see him trying to rush back from this too quickly.

basically. for all we know it could be a smokescreen in terms of the timetable. sf has been known to do this... could be key in drafting a qb they like
