QB Brock Purdy Thread

Let's cross our fingers and hope it's something that'll heal in a few weeks. I'm excited to see what Brock will look like next season with another year of strength training in the NFL, another offseason working mechanics with his QB coach, 9 games of experience including multiple playoff games under his belt and year two in Shanahan's offense.

This is what I told my 10 yr old son to help him see the bright side. He was devastated by the loss.

Well considering how things work for us he'll probably win MVP, go 16-1, and then he'll be struck by lightning in the first half of a rainy conference championship at home.
This kid lands in our lap and we allow him to get hit every week.

I don't understand that rational

what game was he watching?

The one where the 49ers committed 11 penalties.

You can't win that way even if your QB is 2014 vintage Tom Brady.

oh you mean when we had no functional qb and were in desperation mode? lol

Been there (I remember crying when we traded Montana).

Man. I feel like I would be 80-90% over this loss by now if not for this awful news.

I really, really hope he's ready to throw within 2-3 months. And if he isn't… what do we do? Just suck it up and roll with Trey? But even then, we can't trust any of these guys to stay healthy at this point. People are going to talk about signing Brady… but knowing us Father Time will finally win and his arm will fall off the moment he puts our jersey on.

It's just hard to be optimistic when no matter what we do we can't get any stability at the position. Purdy was looking so so promising and now this? It probably would've been better for him to just blow chunks today but come out healthy honestly.

Hoping for some good news tomorrow I guess

I hear ya..I would have been over the loss by now but still emotional here and there. Just want the players to be ok and I feel for them. It ended really abruptly and in the most unexpected way.

Yep. Purdy could have felt that rush and stepped up as well. I'm not criticizing him either, but sacks and QB hits are going to happen.

How is that hyperbole? We literally didn't have a QB for a large chunk of this game.

Ngl I been tearing up here and there since halftime. Maybe too emotionally invested in football but lol..I am a fan. Montana was hard. This is up there.

Totally agree. If I had to give a one sentence synopsis of the game, I probably use DD's sentence.
