I think this would absolutely be in the cards.

If Purdy's injury is severe enough to where he's likely missing all of next season, yeah I'm guessing they wouldn't be comfortable rolling with just Lance, a cheap backup and another draft pick. That's about the only way I see them poking around Brady.

Imo it's a nerve problem. If you watched they moved the wrap and ice all around in different spots on his arms from his forearm to his elbow on the sideline.

If it was a tear you'd just ice the tear I would assume.

If it was serious they should have had him in the locker room during the game already trying to get him ready to play in the event we somehow were going to play in the SB.

The docs weren't looking at it all that much and he wasn't in the locker room. I doubt it's that bad or else it's just poor medical care not treating him more at the time.

They'll only know for certain after the MRI. No reason to freak out until the full scope of the injury has been evaluated.

Isn't Tommy John more of a repetitive injury and tear?

What are signs of a Tommy John injury?

Tommy John injury symptoms include:

• Inner elbow pain
• Pain with overhead throwing motions
• Decreased throwing velocity
• Fatigue when pitching
• Numbness and tingling in the elbow, forearm, and/or hand

From the way his elbow bent rapidly, I could def see it being a UCL tear.

What also concerns me is that he came back & played. Just ugh. Yeah, shocks & numbness, obviously nerves, who knows what else. Swelling concerns me some. The whole thing is concerning. 😔
