QB Brock Purdy Thread

This was definitely a 'rookie' game for Purdy. Dallas has the #2 defense in the league and they had him out of his comfort zone when he was pressured. He got lucky not to turn it over on a couple plays. He missed that Aiyuk TD throw early, wonder how the game changes if he hits that.

Still insane that he's a rookie QB in the NFC Championship game. Obviously he's outplayed his draft slot considerably. This game was a reminder of what Purdy is, though. Thankfully neither the Eagles or either of the AFC teams remaining have a defense as good as the Cowboys.

My first thought is to beat the eagles Brock will have to make some series plays for us.

When has he not made a series of plays?

I meant serious lol

I say that because the eagles will also create massive pressure. Dallas was all over him tonight, many times he barely had any time. the Eagles rush is even better. This was a good tune up. This makes me think we will need some magic and Purdy making something out of nothing etc.

Eagles have a great pass rush but how's their run defense? I really don't know. Anyone have the DVOA stats?
He throws touchdowns and wins games. Sometimes he doesn't throw touchdowns. But still wins game. He doesn't make the big mistakes. An outstanding young QB. Who is much better than his draft status. That's obviously true.

I'm curious, which td pass did he miss to aiyuk? And how was he lucky not to turn over the ball? Sure, there was one that got tipped but is he supposed to apologize for that?

Brock didn't turn the ball over vs the defense that forced the most turnovers this year. Can't wait to see what he was looking at. Pass rush was good but Brock usually gets rid of the ball sooner than what he was doing tonight. I'm guessing it was tight man and it didn't look anything like what SEA was doing. Didn't take bad sacks, didn't turn the ball over and managed to get the win while making key throws in the second half. Experience building game.

Yeah, this was the difference IMO. Brock Purdy and Dak Prescott had two very similar missions today, going against tough, tough defenses. The losing QB threw 2 INT's while the winning QB threw 0.

5 scoring drives and no giveaways allowed the defense to control the game.

Would like to see more paint but I feel like Quinn's D really balls out vs Shanny, I still remember the Falcons game in 2019. A bottom 10 defense held us to 22pts.

lmao I disagree with it but I thought this was hilarious.

tweet is click bait comment from someone who has zero understanding of the game and qb play

It's a Rams fan. Intelligence isn't expected

"Purdy is not throwing it to the same WR over and over? Does not compute."

Round 2.

This was the game that made me believe in Purdy.

This was the first game where he looked pedestrian. kyle took the ball out of his hands. No turnovers though, the clincher.

We were playing against a really good defense and Dallas had a good plan. He didn't turn the ball over and he completed some key third downs. To me, that's a good game.

What I meant was, seeing him play against Oklahoma in college was when I started to believe in him.

I told everyone he would be the next 49ers QB to win a super bowl back when he was drafted.

You should be a GM

The theme I've noticed in this 12 game win streak is the D gets beat badly once or twice early, and seems to be outclassed for a while, but clamps down in the 2nd half and has more stamina than the other team. The brand of football we play is tough to play against for 4 quarters.

With a favorable matchup against Cincy, and a potentially hobbled Mahomes, I think we have a good shot if we can get by Philly.
didn't watch the game...thanks for nothing, NFL. years ago, the second game was at 10pm European time. so much about "winning the European market".

whatever, according to what I read here, I don't see any big problems. Do what are you discussing???
Although Dallas did bring alot of pressure, there were multiple plays where he did have time to throw but didn't. I want to see the tapes and see what he was seeing.
