QB Brock Purdy Thread

Drew himself said Brock reminds him of him during a Superbowl interview in Vegas. I have called him Brock Brees since his first year here .

I am so glad Brock's injury wasn't worse, would have been a shame. He also had youth on his side, I am sure it helped. Cold weather seems to bother him but normal with injuries. Will be curious if he has that arm warmer on the bench later in the season.

I know, MNF and Purdy will surely get praise, perfect

Keep Purdy and Evans healthy at all costs!

Evans says his ribs are getting better/feeling better all the time and healing (and he probably has good meds lol). I expect them to totally ball out.

Purdy and Evans is the perfect match - even Seattle couldn't stop them!

Wasn't but 5 weeks ago people thought it was legit to rank Darnold and Nix ahead of Brock. Lol.

Those people are called fools.

Last night is a perfect example of QBs doing the little things well being so important. The Broncos won that game but if you're a Broncos fan can you honestly be excited for the future with that guy as your QB?

Ryan Fitzpatrick going in on him after the game was 100% correct. I found it funny that some 49er "fans" were using adjectives like terrible and abysmal to describe Brock's first half performance vs Denver two weeks ago. If that's the adjective used for Brock...wtf was Bo Nix doing in that 2nd half? What was Sam Darnold doing in either half? Darnold has arguably the best WR in the game right now and Denver was missing 2 All Pros in their secondary. Yet somehow Sam looked like he was seeing ghosts and needed JSN to make absurd catch after catch to even look halfway decent passing wise.

Nix however was just atrocious. I don't think I've ever seen a worse QB performance in a half of football where they didn't turn the ball over and there wasn't weather factor involved.

Stuff like that makes me appreciate Brock so much more. We just need his playmakers to stay healthy and the guys filling in for the injured guys to step the hell up and at least be where Brock expects them to be.

Guys like them and Herbert can make throws Brock just can't make. They can be late on their reads and still fire it in there. Brock can't do that, so yeah

Brock's intentional grounding was an awful call, but watching Nix makes it even more so. If we're going to start judging the QBs intent this guy should be averaging like 8 intentional groundings a game

cool, how's that working out for justin herbert?

also the "Brock can't make throws/doesn't have a strong arm" narrative is tired and has been proven wrong many many times

Not too great lol

I was just poking fun at the simplistic/elementary view of the game some people have
