I thought he was rattled most of the game but this is legit MVP type s**t. If prime Mahomes made this play it would be on repeat on every sports show.
Purdy was good when it mattered most. That's all I care about today. He was under duress the entire game while trying to decode one of the most annoying defenses to go against.
Best 49ers QB since Young? Or is it still Garcia?

Since Young, yes
Purdy and Shanny have a real tough time with MacDonald's scheme and the talent on that defense, and while I don't think he's the type of QB to play hero ball outside the system against such guys and usually come out on top, he *IS* the type of QB that knows how to rely on a hero ball WR like Evans, and today he gritted it out and did just enough to get Evans the ball when it mattered. So kudos to all of them, they went into a tough venue, faced a tough opponent who schemes against them better than anyone, and still came out on top.

I'd say so. He's the best since Young, though I think he has a lot of similarities with Garcia.

He didn't look rattled to me. Brock getting rattle is like getting several turnovers. It's a combination of tough fast defense. Not having guys open. Limiting the want to do too much causing mistakes. Frustrating as hell to watch, but I think he's finding that balance until it's needed at the end.
The internet can be fun lol
Good things happen when Purdy runs like a toddler who's holding something he's not supposed to.

I agree BUT I'm tired of his deer in headlights looked against Seattle. I want a complete game from him against them. I get their d-line is great and will get theirs, and he certainly had more pressure today, but I wish he'd turn it up like he did the last drive.

Also I want to see more dunk and dunk. Not sure if that's okay calls from Kyle. Purdy ignoring it or some combo. Hard to go for intermediate to deep routes when you expect pressure right away.

I mean ok cool but what does it matter? Montana and Young had "incomplete" games vs tough opponents but found ways to win. Purdy is doing the same. You guys forget the defense gets paid too.

looked like he had some positive yardage if he just commited to running instead of looking to pass
