Nah. If we're going to have a big money QB, I'd prefer the better one. I don't think the comparison is settled though.

The reality is if Sam continues to play winning football with that team and potentially plays even better, he'll be getting a new deal after next season. Prob won't be the type of value gap you're looking for between the two players.

Very true but still they have another season of a fairly cheap qb and they could backload his extension.

Just so you know Purdy has smaller cap hits than Darnold through the life of Sam's contract.

Uh brocks contract pays him drastically less than darnolds these 3 years. Purdy is making about $20m, darnold $100m

Not the same situation. The game was over and Brock had fought the good fight. Steve was pulled because Seifert wanted him to not take a beating in a game that was over when they had another game the next week and a long season ahead. Steve blew up because he perceived it as being blamed for the loss when that wasn't Siefert's intent at all. Brock had no such misconceptions about why he got pulled, as Shanahan clearly considered him one of the reasons they were able to be in that playoff game to begin with.
