Man, I hope that stinger wasn't on this throwing side. That thumb also didn't look good. He could be going into next week's game with a busted thumb AND shoulder on his throwing arm.

IIRC, it was his left shoulder.

I like Purdy. He is a good QB but we don't have any chance of beating elite defenses with Brock unless we can get at least 2 All-Pro receivers, an elite RB in his prime, a top 3 O-line and an amazing gameplan and that's why he is overpaid.
Brock worths the 3 years/100M contract that Darnold and Mayfield got.

Brock Purdy has 6 TDs and 8 INTs and is 2-3 against a Mike Macdonald coached defense. His worst game was in 2023 against the ravens when he threw 4 INTs. Looks like this SEA defense is of a similar caliber to that unit. Just like how Jim Harbaugh struggled against the legion of boom, Shanahan will struggle against this defense.

He was better this game than last.
The Seahawks defense is young and fast. It matches up well with our old and slow rbs and receivers.
The only way purdy beats them is single handedly having a roll out run option every play. This would allow him to actually take off and run.
Otherwise he's just throwing to old slow covered wrs and running our 30 year old RB for 3 yards a carry...

I just don't think it is true that Brock is unable to beat great defenses. Or that he needs a super team to win. He was a few plays away from winning the Superbowl.
He is one of the few QBs that was able to beat Seattle this year. The other 2. Tampa and the Rams, have way better WRs. Purdy has struggled against Mike Macdonald though. Which is concerning given they are a division team. But you could say the same thing for Kyle.
Purdy had a bad game and Yes, there are some limitations with Purdy's arm and Seattle exploited it tonight. But he only got 32 yards on the ground from his RBs. Offensive line gave up a lot of pressure and his receivers failed to get separation. He was driving for a TD and the ball hit his players hands for an INT. Hardly a super star performance only held back by the QB. We stunk as an entire unit on offense tonight, against a really good defense.

Every QB struggles when the pass blocking is ass. The emphasis should be to get him as much pass blocking as is feasible. The Saints put a giant wall in front of Drew Brees to give him time to operate.
You give Purdy time and he'll usually find the open target but they also do need more speed at receiver overall.

Must've missed where Josh Allen beat the elite Eagles last week.
Qbs need help against the best. All of them.

Brock's out there trying to win games without a number 1 WR on the field and the closest to. wR1 he has is always broken and can't play. Give Brock JSN and watch him cook.

And…..he turned into a pumpkin like I said. So much for the offense hitting its stride. Honestly, this team has way over achieved given all of the injuries and BP's regression. Niners had no business making the playoffs, and will likely be bounced in the first round. Could've used a higher draft position, but chances are Lynch would've blown the pick. Oh well.
