Great opportunity for Brock to get the monkey off his back by playing a quality game against Mike McDonald's defense. That infamous multi interception game against the Ravens was a McDonald defense, if I'm not mistaken.

He played pretty well against them last year. I also think he played really well against them this year in week 1 minus the couple of turnovers. Almost like a microcosm of his statistical season so far.

We played last place team in several divisions.
We still have one more game to play.
We only play 3 games a year based off of your previous year's standings. This year was NYG, CLE and CHi. CHI isn't a cellar dweller this year. So really only 2 games this year you can claim as playing last place teams.
we got two bottom feeder matchups from our division --our especially bad cardinals team (3-13). Also saints and tenn (3-13)
not sure how it worked out this way but we got to play 5 games against the bottom 5 teams (cards 2x): giants, browns, tenn cards (2x). no raiders.
The only teams we have beat with a winning record are rams and bears.

Yeah we beat 2 of the best NFC teams at least once this year.

#NFL YAC % since Week 11
— SFdata9ers🏈📊 (@sfdata9ers) December 30, 2025
Brock Purdy has been playing at another level since returning in Week 11 - and he's doing it without much help after the catch. #SF's YAC% since Week 11 is just 37%, ranking 31st in the NFL. pic.twitter.com/DWf0Az1CgQ
It's interesting to see how we've quickly shifted away from the days of the YAC bros to being one of the worst YAC teams and yet the offense is arguably better than ever.

What monkey? He is 2-2 against McDonald. Maybe not dominant but it's not like he's 0-10

and the 2023 Ravens D was triple crown winning unit. this Seahawk D is good but not in the same tier as that Baltimore team.

This SEA defense is #2 overall in points allowed at 18.1 per game (the only metric that matters IMO)
They are an elite defense among the NFL this year

Sometimes my girl will ask what I'm thinking about and I always tell her "I'm just wondering what Brock Purdy is doing right now" and she debates who I love more. Lol
Luckily, your girl is rational Originally posted by replikante:
And watch out next week after the 3rd straight 5TD performance from him (something I guess very few QBs have managed to do) and the 38-17 win over Seattle with the resulting 1st seed for the playoffs
Soon Goodell will be so glazed and fix us a SB victory (not that Niners need his help) and rig it so we win next year too

There was the "MNF monkey on his back" and he went out and threw 5 touchdowns. It seems Brock is up for the challenge/spotlight right now.

Yea, we had a lot of bounces go against us in that game. Most of those interceptions are normally probably just incompletions. It is what it is and it could always happen again, but it isn't an example of Mike MacDonald figuring out our offense or Purdy. We moved the ball pretty well against them.
