Without Stafford the Rams probably don't make the playoffs. Without Purdy the Niners probably would with Mac albeit not as good.

You sure do love to make points based on nothing but hyperbole.

Guess with better skill players, OL, defense and health Sean McVay wouldn't be able to coach his Rams to the playoffs with a terrible QB like Jimmy G?

lol, doctorelle has really backed himself into a corner here. The Rams clearly have a better defense, and better skill position players, so it comes down largely to coaching and QB play. Which is the reason the Rams have a worse record?

Is Shanny better than McVay?

or

Is Purdy better than Stafford?

You're forgetting schedule.

We played the same schedule with the exception of 3 games. They played Eagles, Lions, and Ravens and we played the Giants, Bears, and Browns. The only major difference in terms of strength of opponent is the Eagles vs. the Giants. Bears are better than the Lions this year. Ravens started Cooper Rush and were 1-4 when they played the Rams.

And that's why McVay is a better coach. Saw what he had with Goff, went out and got someone that could execute his offense to a tee. Meanwhile Shanahan went to bed and decided to draft Trey Lance to make up for missing out on Stafford.

So why with a better defense, better skill position players, a QB in a different stratosphere, do the 49ers have a better record? This season must absolutely suck for you.

Meh, small potatoes. Regular season achievements don't matter to me. Sure, Kyle gets the "win" because he has a better record than McVay and he's worked with less this season. But McVay has a SB ring and has his time primed for another. If Kyle wins a SB this year, we can rehash this debate. But COTY does not supersede SB win.

Yes. If it rains he's going to be using that towel all day and those balls will not come out crisp. Hopefully it's not raining game time…

It just means the game will be slowed down a lot and won't be high flying like the Bears game. I'm ok with that because we have a good Running Game as well that can take advantage.

They're both elite coaches. But your expectations are unrealistic. You claim to have been around, but you act like a child who has never been through periods of great coaching followed by coaching purgatory. One doesn't ditch an elite coach because he hasn't yet won a SB. That's how you get stuck in a never-ending cycle of trying to find the one. We're insanely lucky to have Kyle despite the whining and constant hand-wringing of fans like you.

this is a narrative I'm looking forward to going away. Brock has won 2 playoff games in the rain. He'll be fine

I will be if it's pouring rain and the ball is sopping wet. If it's drizzling, then I think he'll be fine.

This narrative that the 49ers played a cupcake schedule needs to go away already.

When the season ends, the 49ers will finish with a SOS of .490.

That's really not a ridiculously easy schedule. That's actually a pretty average schedule for a playoff team (you're going to win more games than lose and thus knock your SOS down a bit)

The question is how long before this statement gets old….if my opinion, ten years is a long time…

The error in your logic is that by dumping Kyle we'd be far more likely to have another ten years of cycling through Erickson-Nolan-Singletary-Tomsula-Kelly types than to find a guy who you "know" can win it. I've seen that movie, I'll stick with the guy who we know can climb the mountain, and trust that he'll figure out how to make it to the summit.

Until we get a GM like Howie Roseman who can coach proof the roster yes. Or until Kyle is consistently losing in the first round ala Tomlin.

As far as I'm concerned, Kyle can coach here as long as he wants. It's only the absolute dumbest of fans who want to get rid of him every year, and relentlessly beat a dead horse after every coaching decision that doesn't turn out well. Truly Dunning-Kruger on full display with these armchair coaches. Doesn't ever get exhausting for you?
