I know I damn sure wouldn't say that about a coach I respect, so ya we can disagree on that. It is still a negative point against Kyle. Another qb that just doesn't like the system. It's not good imo
I'm not saying all these QBs are done for their careers, but I think this offense can actually do some damage when a qb goes through struggles, which all Qbs do. Kyle needs to be the one that reigns a qb in at these times but we've got Brock chucking it all over like never before and Kyle's just like "yea that's a good decision just play better" lol. Like bro he needs to gain some confidence back before we have him playing like he's Brett Favre
He doesn't like an aspect of the system. You're reaching for a broader conclusion that isn't necessarily true. I'm not arguing that anybody believes his system, or any other, is flawless.
In the last game, only one of those interceptions (the 2nd) was arguably a bad decision. Outside of that 2nd pick I don't think the others were examples of being overly aggressive or trying to do too much… which I think Brock has shown a tendency towards going back to last season and in college. We don't want that, or execution failures like we saw on MNF.
All I know is he would never want be in that position again, and hinting anything about the offense does show no respect for Kyle. He can say all the nice things he wants about how Kyle pushed his comfort zone or what not, but it reads to me like an extremely fluffed up "it wasn't my thing but we made it work". The same things they disagreed about at first were the same things he complained about after the sb. He saw the problem the whole time and it got them in the end
And that 3rd pick I see a problem with Kyle there too, but I know you're too focused on a hitch to get it so I just didn't bother to mention

I'm focused on the hitch and the velocity, and I also think it was a great play by Horn. When people discuss bad decision making, hero balling, or YOLO throws… that isn't an example of it.
By all means adjust the play so that a target occupies Horn. Nothing wrong with that.

You see the main issue being the hitch and the velocity, which is fine as a Kyle is perfect fan, but Kyle honestly thinks this way too (another major problem with him) when he is just as much at fault (if not more). I think the biggest thing is Horn made a great play, but only possible because of how predictable the play is in the first place

it's fascinating reading through a lot of finger pointing and excuses to explain Brock's play. The answer is right in front of us. Avoidance and wishful thinking will not change reality. Brock is regressing. He is not growing and becoming better. He is young and could very well turn it around but we live in the now.. not the past and not the future. Now looks very bad. Now looks like the organization made a huge mistake with his contract. If you chart his development and performance it would resemble a bad investment.. bought high then crashed.. opponents have figured him out and they are making him pay. Those interceptions were not bad luck or tipped balls. Defenders were anticipating and he delivered for them. He is unable to complete passes to his teammates beyond 15 yards unless they are wide open with no defenders in sight. His magical talent was anticipating and delivering with accuracy. WAS… it isn't working anymore. He is holding the ball too long, electing for low percentage passes instead of taking what is given. It's painful to admit but it's true. Some already see what he is but for others it will take time and more Ls to agree.

Ouch, hard to disagree with any of this.
It would be easier to give Brock more time and have more optimism if the previous QBs that were supposed to be franchise guys hadn't crashed and burned, especially considering the salaries and draft picks that were lost.

On January 10, 1982, Joe Montana threw three interceptions and lost a fumble, before the final drive that ended with Dwight Clark's famous catch.
You're welcome.
Pointing to bad games by Montana and Young, two of the all-time greats, doesn't have the argumentative effect that you and other posters think it does. Just letting you know. It's a bad argument and classic deflection.
Seriously! You can give every sh***y qb out there a pass with this logic. CJ Beatherd should be in the Hall of Fame, because Montana had a multi turn over game. Makes no sense.

I already see it and said I'm good with benching so you're misunderstanding the point. All I'm saying is Kyle is also a problem. If the answer for your figured out play that Brock has been baited into every week is for the qb to just run it with no hesitation, then you kinda suck. Telling him he made a good decision on the 2nd pick is not how you get him back on track. I'm not saying Brock is great, but Kyle doesn't help. He's kinda clueless about everything outside of scheming up a defense
If Brock has another awful outing similar to last week you have no choice but to bench him. Irrespective of the weather or Cleveland's defense, the Browns are one of the bottom feeders in the league. I can understand the Niners struggling to score bc of said conditions, but another 3 or 4 TO gam by Purdy is grounds to bench him and blame it on injury.
I'd much rather go into the bye week game planning around Mac Jones who has not only played better, but has done a great job of getting the entire team involved. With Brock so far it's been Kittle and CMC. JJ has gotten some opportunities but everyone else is non-existent bc Brock can't get them the ball. And for those that keep stating that it's only one game, keep in mind that Brock had 2-3 INT-able passes last week vs Zona. He had 3 turnovers vs Jacksonville. He had 2 INTs vs Seattle and should have picked at the end if not for Tonges stealing the ball from the Seattle defender in the endzone.

Lol. Maybe you are grasping to excuse poor play by a player you really like. Brock has no problem taking accountability.
I swear, this thread becomes more deranged every day. Like every other QB thread in the history of this site. Someone said above that we have to live in the "now", which I guess means overreact and tear your hair out over every little thing that happens that makes you unhappy. Two weeks ago, Brock made his first return to the field after missing almost two months with a toe injury that affected his ability to throw and run but still managed to lead the team to a season high 41 pts while playing an efficient and largely error free game. But that was TWO WHOLE WEEKS AGO!!!! so, of course, everyone has already forgotten about that.
A week later he has a rough turn but still manages to help the team win. He made some very good throws in that game, as he does in every game, but the three picks are all that people remember because it fits into their narrative about how Brock has "regressed" and how Mac Jones cautious approach to the game is really what the team needs, and he should be the one starting in Cleveland.
I don't know about any of you, but if Myles Garret is lined up on the other side of my QB I want someone back there who has demonstrated an ability to avoid the rush. However, I'm perfectly willing to admit that none of us know to what extent his toe is bothering him, and maybe that will still be a factor, but it's also true that he has played in four games this year and has only been more or less fully healthy in 2 3/4's of them and yet he's still managed to come out with a 3-1 record for a team that is missing its top two defensive players and has been struggling to find an consistency in its receiving corps.
If he goes into Cleveland and throws another pick or two, but comes out with the win, the story won't be that he's 4-1 as a starter this year, but that he's "regressed" and should be replaced. I guess one of the big misconceptions about fan forums is that you come into them thinking the people who take the time to post, might actually know a little about the game. But like almost every other aspect of social media it's just a haven for people and their "opinions" which, apparently, we're all expected to take as facts because they believe it to be so.
