Also I'm not sure what happens but Mac has played great ball. Minimal run game, without starting WRs, inconsistent OL (although they were fantastic against rams), and a defense that rarely stops people. Also probably 3 of macs ints weren't his fault.

Not saying he's better or worse than Brock but he has kept our season alive

Crazy good situation at QB, that is!

Niners have two QBs now that Shanahan and the team can win with. Given a healthy squad with the playmakers back on O & D and I'll like this team's chances going up against any other team - with Purdy or Jones starting.

Purdy = QB1, Jones = QB2. Goes without saying IMO.

It is significant for the quarterback position. 6-1 is objectively short for a QB. 6-3 puts you in that upper category where height is not a disadvantage. Brock himself has said that he can't really see over the line and has to just trust that his guys will be where he throws the ball.

How often do we see balls batted at the line with Mac? It's rare. Now think about all the times it has happened to Brock, which results in missed completions and the occasional interception.

He might be back sooner or he might be in the same bucket as Purdy where he's able to practice weekly, but not ready to start.
