Excuses aren't needed when you win...unless you're Brock Purdy apparently cuz we still have people bringing up his picks and the "near pick" aka game winning TD.
Thing after a loss people struggle with having nuanced conversations, it's hot take city. We had a guy in here legit claim Purdy's game vs the Jags was the worst game he's seen from a QB in a 49ers uniform.
Nobody was worried about Mac's fumble vs the Saints cuz we won. Nobody was worried about Mac's pick vs Arizona cuz we won.
So let's be honest - Brock has a bigger target on him because he's the actual starter and now a guy we signed to a big contract but why should that impact the actual analysis?
We'll never have apples to apples comparison at the very least until we see Mac play vs Seattle or Brock play vs the Rams this season. And even then obviously and hopefully the talent around them will be different in those games so we'll never have a clear this guy did this and this guy did that.
The mistakes Brock made in Seattle weren't the mistakes he made vs the Jags. That's why I think just looking at his 4 TD vs 4 INT stat line isn't telling of what actually happened.
But hopefully Mac continues to play well cuz we need him to keep winning. I just expect Brock to be much better than meh when he comes back.
Damn! Took all of that for you to finally admit Brock's been meh?
Looked like math was tough earlier, now we're struggling with reading? Maybe just let AI read for you if you're unable to follow the conversation.
What part of the math or reading are you struggling with? 24/16=1.5 which isn't good. You want that around 4 or higher for high level qb play. Not so hard if you remember fractions from elementary school.
The math where 2+15 doesn't equal 19.
The reading where responding to someone saying
Lots of football left but if Mac continues to play well and Brock comes back and is meh
With...
I just expect Brock to be much better than meh when he comes back
Is a response(thus the quote in the first place) and not me calling Purdy mid.
If you're struggling here it's not a surprise you're not interested in digging deeper into the football discussions.
