I spent the time going back and checking on all of those interceptions he threw last year. You're all going off memory. Not a single one of you will go back and argue in good faith. Just choose to grasp onto straws and ignore the main point.

Now we want to play dumb and think continuity in this offense doesn't matter. It doesn't guarantee perfect play...

You are the one grasping at straws. You are debating a million different things and nothing all at the same time.

To be fair I know what it's like to have to respond to umpteen people at the same time. It takes you all over the place.

So I will kindly jump off the merry go round and let you gentlemen be.

I'm debating the same thing. The fact that people claiming Brock's decision making has been a real issue since last year are not being truthful.

There have been issues and rightfully we should all want to see him clean those up but some are trying to make it a consistent and way larger than it actually is problem, which is what I took issue with.

I think people who keep minimizing Brock's decline are not being honest with themselves. So many stats to rationalize what is plain to see. Why can't folks just accept what is.. We know he is not elite. We also know he is very good. We also know he is injured.. again and he is pressing to make plays because half his offense is injured. The mental gymnastics are getting redundant and silly.

There isnt a single person in this thread that disagrees with this. Not sure where you are seeing mental gymnastics.

People are too hung up on the contract. The expectations are unrealistic IMO. Last year it was "well he needs to be better if he wants a deal" now it's "he's paid so he has no excuses"

I think people just get jealous of players who get paid big money because it more money than they will ever make in their lifetimes because they lack the natural talent that such players have. They try to compensate for their lack of talent by nitpicking everything the player does. It has been happening to all the 49er QBs in the last 15 years at least. Players are human. They have their ups and downs and slumps. Imagine what Brock would have done if he did not get his arm wrecked against the Eagles in the NFC game? Look at all the criticism of Jimmy G that got so bad a lot of the Webzone critics wanted to replace him with a kid who had some potential but no experience who turned out to be a dud? Time to calm down. At least we have a back up who can win games when our main guy is down. We should be grateful instead of behaving like whinning cry babies. It is not a good look.

The wild thing is, we see Trevor Lawrence sign a 5/$275M contract, and Brock has been substantially better than him. But Trevor was the #1 pick and Brock was the last pick, so people dont give Brock any slack. Its crazy.

Hurts and the Eagles passing game have had the two worst halves of passing this year. With a full healthy compliment of weapons and a top OL.

It definitely happens and there is a whole draft bias still at play with these guys. Much easier to see physical talent for fans so when guys less physically talented struggle it's easier to claim it's because they can't carry a team on their own...meanwhile forgetting that the same rules should apply for the other guys.

I saw someone call out Rich Madrid earlier for this and while personally I like Rich and think he's very knowledgeable his bias comes out as well.

Rich almost never gives 49er QBs the grace he gives some of the big QBs.

Herbert gets the "it's not his fault" and you didn't watch the game approach. But I know I saw someone quoting one of his tweets bashing him for the throw to CMC and putting it all on Brock.

Yeah but they "FIND WAYS TO WINZZZZ" so who cares

As suggested in the article on the front page, Purdy's injury is likely to keep him out multiple games. The fact he had a metal plate in his shoe to prevent him flexing his toe, and he still aggravated it means he is going to have to shut it down until it is fully healed before he comes back.

I hope Jones plays well for numerous reasons, not the least of which is that will allow Purdy time to heal.
