It's been a long time since I've seen him play smart football.

Yes, agree he is just too "Willy Nilly" with the ball.
I think brock is trying to do too much the past year +. I like that he can play off seriously, but would really like to see him play more within the system and run the offense the way it is supposed to be run. If we get half assed healthy with our weapons I'm curious if we start seeing that or if it's still a lot of off schedule stuff. If it's off schedule stuff I will be officially concerned with Purdy as our franchise QB
Brock needs Brian Griese back. Go get him. The role may not seem important but it is.
Brock is the Jake Moody of Qbs. Injured more often than not and is always making you say "WTF!?".

I remember how fans used to complain about JG being to mechanical and not being able to improvise when things broke down. Now I see fans saying Brock improvises too much and needs to stay on script. Which is it?

I may not think he's a true "franchise QB" but he does a pretty good job most of the time. I'm sure he would stay on script if he had all his weapons available. Kittle, one of his favorite targets is out. Aiyuk is out. Jennings has been banged up so far this year and isn't 100%. His new favorite target is Pearsall and he's got a knee issue. Add all these things up and he's forced to improvise too often when he can't find those usual open receivers. Not having a running game that is any kind of threat doesn't help either.

Is one of the reasons we don't have a running game because teams are all in to stop it because they're not afraid of our passing game?

That might be part of it since it all flows together but I think that not having Kittle and the usual corps of WRs is a bigger factor. Kyle asks his receivers to do a lot of blocking on the edges and beyond the line of scrimmage. That just isn't happening now. Nothing on the edges at all. That allows the defenses to really clog up the middle so the result is nowhere to run. Williams hasn't played well so far this year either and Puni has regressed a little too. Add all this together and ther his no running game. CMC has no chance to really get going.

You all weren't saying/thinking "WtF" during the 4 ints so far and the wtf throw to Tonges in Seattle?

Last five games he played, going back to last year, I only mention last year because of the three game losing streak to end the season, he has 8 interceptions. So 1-4 w/l, 8 interceptions. Can't blame his injuries (this year) for his play last year, or was he injured then too.

Dude I've talked about his TOs plenty in here, comparing him to Moody is dumb though.

it's more about "vibes" dude. I mean it's gotten to the point that the uneasiness we all felt when Moody is attempting to kick is the same feeling (at least for me) being experienced whenever Purdy drops back to pass now lulz.

Im with you to a certain extent. With Moody I started games with the feeling. With Purdy I start games with hope that this is where we get back to 23. It's not til after the first few possessions do I start to get the uneasy feeling.

Kyle's play calling can get me there sometimes too. There's been games after the 1st couple possessions I know it's going to be an ugly game.

Na. The rosies have a blame list in their back pocket. They will find something.
