Nah bro, Purdy didn't exactly have the best ball placement.

Ya he struggled because of his toe. Anyone who actually wants to not be biased saw that. That's not the Purdy we know.

With that said, best ability is availability.

It has been the same Purdy that we saw the 16 games prior to Sunday.

I remember you describing QBR as 'unreliable' and 'trash' among other things. 'It favors running QBs!'

Look at you now.

It does favor running QB's lol. Which makes it even more impressive when a QB like Purdy is near the top.

'QBR is complete trash as the results end up being ALL OVER THE PLACE. How/why anyone still cites this is ridiculous to me. A stat should at least somewhat reflect how good/bad a player is, shouldn't it? Meaning, you shouldn't be able to have a good rating for a particular stat, but actually be playing terrible; or vice versa. But that's exactly what happens with QBR. Every year, every week. It's pathetic and totally unreliable.

We know why certain posters are citing it though.'

—————-

'You're cherry picking. Shocker. Now look at QB rating. Very few outliers, where with QBR there are several (both on the high end and low end). QBR is unreliable. Period.'

—————-

'So a written summary of the theory of what they're attempting to do is a better argument than the actual results of the calculation of their method? Come on, bro. Lol.

There are NINE QB's ranked ahead of Jimmy in QBR who he is clearly outplaying. You cannot find 9 QB's ranked lower than Jimmy in passer rating that are outplaying him. I doubt you can even find 5.

QB rating >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> QBR'

End of the Day what is the Point? 49ers took the L. Keep those stats for FF Or Betting folks. Like Justin Smith once said. "Stats are for Loser's" Only stat that matters is the W-L Stat.
Nursing his toe on short week, he should sit behind Jones as emergency backup... he toe up

Adjusted qbr for drops? Most horrendous injury? good grief. The simple truth is he had yet another bad game with multiple turnovers and they lost. I like the guy and hope he can rebound but right now he is playing reckless. Now we hear he may not play against the rams. I did not see or hear he got hurt on Sunday. Does that mean he wasn't 100%? Either way having him play the way he did is not good for the team. He should fully heal before suiting up again. If he was 100% then we have more problems than anyone wants to admit. You can throw all the stats you want and you can come up with every excuse under the sun to minimize the truth but it won't change the fact that we are back to having a qb1 problem. The only thing that is undetermined is how big of a problem do we have? Best case scenario is it's injury related. worst case scenario, I can't even bring myself to say it.

LOL. Did you watch the game?

Yes and anyone who watched it objectively and cares about this team would agree. Brock played poorly. Yes some passes were dropped and yes the team has other concerns but those don't negate or excuse how poorly he played. He is stacking the wrong kind of stats. That needs to change. I will gladly take him being injured as the reason over having to look for another qb1 and if that is truly the case then don't play him until he heals.

If you have to question whether he was healthy, then you would understand why I asked what I asked.

No lol I watched him play all last year too. We don't need to pretend Purdy is elite and it's always everyone else's fault when he plays like s**t.
I don't care who you are...

when a QB has routinely had no o-line, no run game, 3rd and 4th string WRs; 2nd and 3rd string TEs... I don't know what you expect him to do.

When Purdy has some weapons, he's only good because they're there. When he doesn't, it's all his fault. That's not how it works. No QB would be succeeding in his current circumstances. The whole team is failing (outside of specific players and aspects of the defense); that's the problem.

You keep saying 17 games. He had some damn good games last year with multiple TDs and zero interceptions. I know they don't fit your narrative but at least get your s**t right.
Lol this thread is like watching a group of kids arguing.

I feel like there are some chomping at the bit when we lose a game to just dump the worst trash takes and love hearing themselves in the process, I mean, Wright? Lol

When you're missing guys, you have to be even better at protecting the ball. This is why Brock upsets me so much right now.

It's been a long time since I've seen him play smart football.
