Thought of the same thing after listing to the Krueg show all week..
Built in excuse, he played so the foot was fine.
Clearly it was not.
Basically he isn't a good enough QB to play well unless everything is perfect health and team wise. A good NFL starter that isn't going to be the reason your team is winning games most of the time.

Well that's silly. You wouldn't give $50+ million a year to a player like that.

A lot of excuses for a QB that has thrown 8 picks in his last 5 starts and has 5 turnovers in 2 games this season.
"We didn't have running game"
"His receivers are garbage"
I'd say that when things aren't perfect the highest-paid player in franchise history should be part of the solution and not part of the problem but Purdy has been part of the problem since the Baltimore game.
I didn't see a difference between today's Purdy and week 1 or last year's Purdy.
He isn't playable right now.
Interceptions this season:
-Mac: 1 in 80 throws
-Purdy: 4 in 73 throws

Not to mention, Tonges had a great catch on that last TD vs seaCucks in week one to bail out BP... easily could still not have a W under his belt

Having said that, I have a feeling he'll do a lot better in Levis south Thursday and not be the second coming of Jimmy G (AGAIN).

I asked Grok AI about Brock Purdy, "With your ability to compile his stats and performances, if you were an NFL general manager would you say he is worth his $265M contract" the short answer is yes and also f**k Deshaun Watson lol but here's the whole answer I found it interesting.
GM Perspective: Why I'd Say Yes, He's Worth Every Penny
In my hypothetical GM chair (say, for a contender like the Lions or Eagles), I'd view this as a strategic win for the 49ers' contention window (2025-29). Here's the calculus:
1. Market Comps Justify It: QB money is inflating—Burrow ($55M AAV), Herbert ($52.5M), Hurts ($51M). Purdy's $53M slots him there without the injury red flags of some (e.g., no major surgeries yet). It's front-loaded guarantees ($100M fully vested) but back-loaded to ease cap hits (~$40M/year initially), giving flexibility for CMC/Bosa extensions.
2. Performance ROI: 24-13 record, NFC title, Super Bowl trip—all on rookie wages. His 102.2 rating ranks top-5 historically for his starts; playoffs prove he scales up. Critics call him "system-dependent," but advanced stats (e.g., QBR) hold vs. adjusted efficiency models that penalize talent around him. In 2024's "down" year, he still out-EPA'd most starters amid chaos.
3. Upside vs. Risk: At 25, with arm talent (not elite, but precise) and mobility (nearly 500 rush yds, 8 TD), he has 5-7 prime years ahead. Injury risk? Minimal (UCL tear in 2022 was fluky; full recovery). Worst case: Tradeable asset mid-deal. Teammate George Kittle's defense? Spot-on—Purdy's intangibles (leadership, humility) glue the locker room.
4. Team Fit & Alternatives: For SF, locking him avoids a 2026 franchise tag (~$45M) or free agency bidding war. Alternatives? Draft a rookie (risky, costs picks) or sign a vet (e.g., Cousins at $40M+ but older). In a pass-heavy era, stability at QB is gold—Purdy's floor keeps you playoff-bound.
Caveats: If 2025 flops (e.g., more TOs like early Weeks), scrutiny rises, as some analysts question his ceiling post-extension. But data says he's trending up, not out. Bottom line: This isn't Deshaun Watson money for unproven flash—it's earned, efficient excellence. I'd sleep easy with Purdy as my guy. What aspect of his game (e.g., deep ball, mobility) sways you most?

It's crazy some people just can't believe Purdy is nothing but an average starting NFL QB lol. I don't understand it. There always is an excuse for a pic or fumble or bad game.

He has just got to make better decisions, It is as simple as that. He was off at times with his accuracy today, But it is really the interceptions. If he threw one less INT in both of the 2 games he played, we would probably be talking about how great he has played, but alas he has thrown some awful INTs. I mean he is throwing for 300 yards a game with multiple TDs. The INTs are the problem, so lets review them.
Seahawks Game
1. He throws over the middle to Jennings, picked off by the linebacker. This one was him not seeing the field, clearly didn't see the linebacker at all.
2. Forces a ball to a blanketed Pearsall. It was accurate, Just a really bad decision
Jags Game
1. The CMC INT. Honestly this is the one I am not really upset with. It was a bad break. It wasn't an easy throw, so maybe he shouldn't have made it. The ball goes just a little high. Hits one of CMC hands and takes an unlucky bounce.
2. The ball gets tipped and the linebacker gets it. But another really bad decision to me. I think this was more then likly an INT regardless. Either he doesn't see the linebacker or he is trying to throw some crazy difficult over the top throw. It was first down. Can't have this type of throw.
But it is important to remember that Purdy is only 25. I am hoping the decision making will improve, because it is what is holding him back. It would be nice if we could get the running game going and maybe he won't feel like he has to throw every pass. He has got to learn that a sack or a punt isn't the end of the world.
He'll make a fine backup for someone soon. Not bad for Mr Irrelevant!

It's not that complicated.. He's been playing like @ss for the past 2 seasons.. We paid a qb who's mid🤷🏾♂?.
No team in the league was shook when we signed Purdy 😬.
He's decent at best. But can not carry a team. Truth
