He played a big part but he is not solely responsible.

Penalties, play calling, drops, oline play, dropped INTs, bad vs the run, horrible STs coverage etc

He is nothing without the supporting cast. I hate that it's become abundantly clear.. the haters who said this have been proven right..

The lack of weapons is a BIG deal. Not a single healthy WR on the team. Tonges is the closest and he has a nick.

Listen, you can't make this excuse for a year and a half, I'm sorry. Purdy has been nothing more than mediocre for a looooong stretch. He isn't getting better, and when you make the money he makes, you need to start carrying the team.

That's just not realistic. No QB has ever done that.

No QB has ever carried a team despite injuries to his star players? Are you kidding?

Really?

The recent playoff losses were far more upsetting. This is Week 4 and the first loss of the season. A worse team would have lost this game 38-6.

Lost turnover battle 4-0
Gave up PR TD
Couldn't run the ball
Allowed a 100 yd rusher

It was commendable they stayed in the game despite continually slamming the hammer down on their own thumb.

Not all on Purdy. His receivers failed him for most of the game.

Nope. He always needs help from his OL and the skill players around him. He doesn't pass it to himself. He doesn't block for himself. He usually isn't the one running the ball.

And they usually need a defense to keep a game close.

So yeah, I stand by my statement.

He's unequivocally the worst starting QB in the NFL this season.

The was the worst performance I've seen from a Niner starter since I can't remember.

Since Jimmy at Denver where he gave himself a safety.

That was brutal. The cult had a hard time explaining that one.

Might be time to visit the ophthalmologist. He was throwing hospital balls all game, air mailing everything.
Maybe shouldn't have extended him

You must have a very poor memory then.

Brock purdy's strength of throwing layered ball between linebackers and safeties has become a weakness. I used to trust him when he throws to the middle but now I hold me breath.

HELD the ball too long on the last play.. AIR MAC 10 was on his mind, so he wanted to make a BIG THROW so the fans can put him above 10 again !!

I was ok with whatever but I personally thought the franchise tag should've been in play after his 6 game losing streak last year.

I didn't see it was tipped. I'll check it out on replay.

I don't blame him for the fumble, though you'd like to see him protect the ball better moving through traffic in the pocket. He was def under siege on that play though.

Not a good day. Hope he turns it around.

It was definitely tipped but i still think it results in a pick
Purdy has zero clutch ability in him. I bet if he was playing last week having to drive down the field against the Cards he would have turned the ball over. His high inaccurate passes are getting the receivers killed. I doubt he is even close to 80% fitness, id start Mac next game.
