Banks was not good. You and faithful bringing up the money he got doesn't change that fact. Maybe he was hurt and will be good for Green Bay, I don't care. He was not good here and that's the conversation I care about.

I never hated on McGlinchey as others have. He was a dominant run blocker and he was ok as a pass blocker. His issue was the bad beats that would stick in everyones memory.

However there is also a reason the team didn't bring these guys back.

s**tty players don't get paid $77M. Banks was a fine LG.

I loved Banks, but dude was just injured all the time. Still wish they kept him.

Banks was a solid player most of his time here…except for last year. Whether it was injuries holding him back last year it's still silly to say he was fine last season.

Just further reminder how many players we had last year who had down years.

I agree with the injuries. He's a fine startable OG, without looking at the actual $ I feel like that was way too much.

Honestly I would never pay a OG that kind of cash. Every FA those nonimpact positions are getting overpaid because they're the players making it to FA.

Keshawn is correct. Not sure what the other guy is saying. It's dumb.

I'm convinced, nothing but multiple Super Bowls will convince these people. That "Mr. Irrelevant" draft status is really short circuiting people's brains. People simply can't handle it.

the draft status is irrelevant. he just doesn't have a big arm. ppl say oh you think that cuz he's mr irrelevant. no, i think that cuz he doesn't have a big arm. it's ok to be real. montana didn't have a cannon either. but if you don't have a big arm and you aren't a designed QB run threat playmaker, that puts certain limitations on. the D doesn't have to worry like vs Hurts, who is a elite ballcarrier and has a big arm. so Hurts gives the D more to think about and a larger area of the field to defend.

I don't agree with Lobs often but he had a very good post the other day that does a good job showing why your post above is flawed.

I'll take Purdy and his elite ability to process all day everyday over Hurts and his big arm and rushing ability. When Hurts doesn't have elite Oline play, he has struggled from the pocket. That's going to be hard for Philadelphia to keep around him year in year out. Purdy has never had even a good pass-blocking oline in his time here, which is why the front office probably doesn't prioritize investment as highly in the oline as much as we fans would like.

How long did it take Tony Romo before folks started saying he was a legit good QB? He was an UDFA back in 2003.

that's probably a good comp. ppl do act like that meme also when ppl suggest brock isn't the biggest, fastest, strongest in the nfl in all areas of QB play.
Says the guy who never won Jacks**t in his career. Gravy trained off whatever success Chad Ochocinco had. Hey TJ, what about how f**king overpaid your buddy Aiyuk is there?

I mean he took us to two NFC championships and a Super Bowl, It's not like his boy Carson Palmer didn't have weapons and Purdy is right on par if not better in his first few seasons
I wonder what the main thing is with doubters, Arm Strength, Height, Weapons, being the last pick, or because he looks 12? I get the argument he didn't carry the team when players went down but it was the WHOLE offense including himself and he still had a decent year.

fight!!

brock is overpaid, that's just the reality. on the rook deal you are typically underpaid, in brock's case historically underpaid. then you get your 2nd contract, and that's when guys get overpaid. dude signed a $265m deal, you think he cares about anything someone says that isn't on this team
