that's the point i am making. brock is good or solid. i'm still looking to upgrade this position, ideally to a guy who is a game changer not just a game manager.

Like you said, B-rock is good and solid.. but he seems limited, especially when the weather is bad.. so, if the kid from Notre Dame is there in the 3rd, I'd move UP and draft him..

Not every QB out of ND is Joe Montana.

Seeing you say this is just amazing irony.

Throw up the NFCCG and show me game manager.
This has become an incredibly stupid argument, and for Niner Talk that's saying something.

We have a lot of really, really interesting "fans" on this site who firmly believe we need to fire Kyle and Lynch and cut Brock and start all over again just because we lost in OT of the Super Bowl. It's extremely bizarre, isn't it?

You're wrong weekly so there's that lol.

What were the takes? I just wanted him to play more football. He got hurt multiple times and Brock outplayed him.

I was wrong in my evaluation of him being somewhat ready to play (and admitted that).

Half the stuff in here are hypotheticals

Yeah that is a stupid argument. I for one do not want to cut Brock and think he should get paid…how much and the scenarios that could happen to figure it all out is what I was discussing.

Yeah I'm aware of that...just seems silly to get into these battles for hypotheticals that may never happen.

It's one thing when we're talking draft because in theory any player could be in play but pages of pages arguing about how the 49ers need to handle Purdy and his team demanding a crazy deal seems unnecessary when there hasn't even been any rumors of the deal getting contentious.

Hell it's been so quiet in regards to that Grant Cohn hasn't been able to make a click bait post about it.

Ok Cam Newton.

It shouldn't have to be a battle though. I mean for me all I did was outline and option that they could use if things get ridiculous….I gave examples of other teams doing something similar (including SF).

it's highly doubtful it gets to that point and I think there will be a reasonable resolution with everything.
Went to bat for Jimmy like he was his father, yet vehemently wants an upgrade over Brock. Cant make this s**t up. Hard to take posters like him seriously. Back on ignore.

like i said, our Convos never discussed FGTD until you just found that out, now you somehow know LJ was only going to take FGTD.

Balt not paying him FGTD is not the win to this discussion, Balt still made him the highest paid and most GTD for a QB

You wouldn't be ok with making the Brock the highest paid with the most GTD if we still didn't meet the demands like LJ

Maybe you didn't understand that, again that's not my problem. He wanted a certain amount of money and Baltimore didn't want to give him that SO they let the market dictate it. You can strawman that as much as you want…doesn't change anything.

If teams said yes please let me pay Brock more than any football player ever. Then you're at crossroads and you either pay him that or discuss trade compensation. It's not different than what LA is doing with Stafford. Which is the whole damn point and why I brought it up (because you said it NEVER happens).

FWIW it's okay to be wrong about something. I'm as stubborn as anyone in here but I've at least admitted I was wrong at one point…I don't think you've ever done that.

Really?!

And somehow still better than all your troll posts. Pretty incredible
