Deebo and Aiyuk aren't on Brown and Smith level though. Barkley just rushed for 2k and most importantly, they have a way better line

Yea, Hurts situation is better from a surrounding talent perspective. I think Brock has shown he's a more capable pure passer. Can't discount what Hurts brings with his legs though. It's an elite trait/skill that makes their offense difficult to deal with, in conjunction with their elite talent.

What he did right was get Brock as his qb, because he couldn't do s**t without him. We have a better TE while theirs is very good in the passing game too. Great lol

We've seen Brock play with good skill players and poor pass pro - he finished top 5 in MVP voting and got us the lead in the SB every drive in the 4th qtr and OT.

We've seen very little of Jalen Hurts with good skill players and poor pass pro - it hasn't been pretty.

There are things Hurts does better than Brock but as a passer and a QB overall Brock has been better. Jalen is a better deep ball thrower and runner. Brock the better processor and can perform better when having to go through progressions without having a ton of time to do it.

I dont think we need to compare every position. Bottom line is we had ballers up and down the lineup in 2023 and you'd be kinda crazy to deny it,...lol. I don't see how the shoe can't fit us as well at this point.

A good player who plays above his ability. Because his processing is so good. Accuracy is pretty good. Athleticism is a little underrated. Running around he is pretty good. That said he's not Mahomes, Hurts, Daniels athletically. Not Josh Allen on size and strength. Or Lamar on speed. He should get more than his rookie deal. But how much? You have to be a little careful too. He has injury history plus is a smaller guy. He's a good but maybe not great athlete. There are people with a stronger arm. Or those who can run faster. Those aren't always the most important things at QB. Probably some kind of deal. But be careful and protect the team too. You can't get too carried away and gut the team IMO. I like him and have supported him. But he's not the most elite athlete at that position either.

Pass pro is the most important imo, and we lack there. Deebos shelf life as an undersized battering ram is up. He's not a good receiver. Aiyuk is a #2. We have an elite rb and te, that's it. Shoe doesn't fit imo. Hurts wouldn't be able to play behind our line. Tush push would be out of the question with Brendel in front of him

That would get stuffed for sure with this line.

Can't wait to see how much Brock gets. After what Jed said the other day. Hope its fair for both sides.

If you let him walk you don't have a back up plan.
How many QBs available can win playoff games? very few if any.
You would have to draft whatever QBs are left at 11 - put them behind a below avg line and hope you could make a playoff run? I don't think so.

You can't low ball him too much and he deserves more money. But you have to be a little careful. I have liked and supported him as much as anybody. But there are some fair points made in the media that he isn't the super elite athlete. He isn't bad either. A little underrated even. Just not one of the super elite talents. Still they miss on him too. He does it in other ways. Like the processing. This year would leave me a little cautious though. The number of injuries was extraordinary. But if they pay him $50, $55, $60 million we will lose a lot of guys too. So comparable to 2024 maybe? Which wasn't as good statistically or record wise. It was a massive number of injuries and key ones too. So I'm not sure you can even repeat it. Even if you sign him to a big deal. Just need some caution here too. I feel like he's good. But he's not Mahomes either who can carry a team and you can lose personnel and just plug new guys in. A quality roster is important to him I think.

Totally agree with you.
Just not sure you could get him under 50.
His agent can just point to Trevor Lawrence - not sure how you get around that.
Maybe bonus wise you could pull it off.
Mahomes and Hurts kind of have odd contracts that help them pay other players.
