LOL, what a downer.

Why not enjoy it and expect it to continue?

Also, it has been four games.

Maybe Brock knows not to throw to him unless it is 3rd down. Good Learning experience.

I thought that was 3rd down? Guess not

It was the first play of the series.

We got a quarterback

Purdy gets another 8 days to heal some more.

3rd int so far? He also threw a "real" pick last game but the defender had butter fingers.

That isn't any kind of pick at all.

Love the win but folks are easily forgetting Trey is QB1. There is no controversy.

The only controversy are those developed in this forum.

But fun XMAS win. Improved nicely in the second half.

Well we will see about that…

We will see indeed.

I'm down with whoever Kyle chooses. Glad the Jimmy lovers in this forum aren't making the decision that's for damn sure.

If Brock is a franchise QB he'll beat out Trey like he beat out Sudfeld and be named the starter. I'm down with the winner of that battle.

The Battle is being waged right now and may be over by the end of the season.
I did the math really quick so don't quote me, but our 3rd down conversion percentage since Purdy came on as starter is around 42, 43%.

Our season average is a little higher, but 42%, 43% is still a top 10 rate for an offense, and Purdy's also hitting the explosive plays.

Things are looking really good.

I believe the Devil left Brady and entered into Brock the day they hugged. The new Goat
He checked another box for me today. With guys all around him in a tight pocket inches away, he still has eyes downfield, find his target, threw in tight quarters, with accuracy.

He did it again. Another good game and this time against a very respectable defense. Making the correct decision all over the place.

There were three plays that he made that will not show up in the stat line but all three showed exceptional awareness as well as athletic ability.

The most impressive was his 360-degree throw-away. He showed good speed initially, then a little stutter step to buy time, and then the spin and awareness of where to throw it. If I tried to spin around like that I would be lucky to stay standing up much less throw it away.

The second was the scramble where he went out of bounds for a short sack rather than throwing it away. It was great because he recognized there were linemen downfield and a throwaway would have resulted in a penalty.

The third was toward the end of the game where he chose to take a sack rather than a risky throw to JJ who was open on the sideline.

That is good QB stuff right there.
I am not sure about the second one. I thought throwing the ball away and draw a penalty might still be better than taking a sack. I don't remember how many yards he lost exactly, but it was possible the Commanders would have declined the penalty anyway.
He isn't the most talented and doesn't have the biggest arm but he gets it done every single time so far. I'm really impressed. I' m just going to enjoy the ride.
