Well it shouldnt be Jackson.

QB on the team #1 in the power ranks, thems the breaks

Who gives a s**t about power rankings; it subjective. This isnt college football.

Jackson is good but overrated. Purdy has better numbers across the board and CMC has been dominant.

I don't agree with it, I'm there with you, just telling it how it unfortunately is

MVP is about narratives and there's one narrative that Brock couldn't over come. Jimmy G was a product of the system and it was reinforced when Jimmy sucked with the Raiders.

it'll take time for Brock to fix that and unfortunately his two Monday night games this year did not help his case.

The bottom line of your post really hits on the point. If Brock doesn't have a disastrous outing on MNF against the Ravens, he very likely is the MVP.

As much as people want to think MVP is all about narratives… what it also isn't about is just pure numbers/statistics.

One can always use Matt Ryan as an example. He was the MVP under Kyle. He never even made it to all pro once outside of that one MVP season. He has been a good QB, but just good and not great.

The difference is that Brock is in his second season. He can still get better.

Win SBs. Thats the ultimate narrative transformer.

MVP is a QB award no doubt. If it wasnt CMC would win .

Great chance of taking home OPOY. Likely between him and Hill.

Perfectly* appropriate too because neither of them are the most valuable players in the league… even if you removed all QB's from consideration.

There is a reason that the first and only player kyle mentioned wouldn't play week 18 is Brock, cause he is the most important player on the team because the quarterback always is. He may not be the "best" player on the team but he's the most important

Yup. I also think a lot of 49ers fans don't understand why Purdy gets hated on. And it's mainly because of Kyle. I believe fans around the league really respect Kyle, because he's known for adding offensive production more than probably any head coach.

With Jimmy performing poorly in Vegas, it just reinforces their belief that Purdy wouldn't be as good on another team.

The problem with this line of thinking is that Purdy performs well out of structure and he's connecting on deep passes that this offense was lacking with Jimmy. And he reads defenses really well which translates to any scheme.

I would say that's the #1 reason people are dismissive of Purdy, followed by the fact he looks like a child, he's short, and he doesn't have a rocket like Josh Allen, then it's the fact he was the last pick in the draft.

I don't think people care that much he was the last pick, it's my belief that if he was taller like Mahomes or Allen he would be more accepted. Talent slips in the draft all the time, people were more willing to believe in players like Kurt Warner and Romo (at least early).

Either way, the haters will continue until he wins a SB. That's just how it will go.
My buddy just ran into Purdy and the OL at House of Prime Rib. I hope the OL is footing the bill.

Trent should. He is making more than the entire Oline and QB room combined. Lol

Tell your buddy to watch where he's walking. We need Purdy healthy for the playoffs

Just saw the local news story on this. I guess it's an annual event for the OL. If i heard correctly, the owner of HOPR host the event for the OL. I didn't see Trent there
