can't wait for people to say ridiculous stuff, if we play the ravens again, like "can't believe a washed up rb is doing good against us". Lol literally no reason to think he's washed. He's 28 and coming off 1200 yard season 8 td and was let go of because his contract and no one wanted to take on a big rb contract.
Disagree here tank, he was RB3 in NYJ, that speaks some volumes, there was a reason Minny cut him, and a reason NYJ didn't play him, to the point he had to whine about play time. RBs, usually don't age very gracefully, and a lot of injury and surg I'm sure didn't help matters. I've liked Cook since FSU days.
We'll see. I don't expect him to be some all pro, but I think he's going to make their offense better. He's a dual threat running back.
minnesota cut him cause they didn't want to pay an aging rb $14M. Minnesota cut a lot of aging players to help their salary cap going forward. $14M is more than we pay CMC, who's the highest paid running back right now.
jets used breece hall, which they should have, but the offense was putrid regardless. You don't use RB2 a lot when your starting lineup can barely ever get a first down. They started using the third string because their season is essentially over and looking to the future about who they continue developing. So it makes sense why they started using the young guy who was RB3 all year late in the year, instead of the vet on a one year deal. They aren't playing for anything.
once again, I'm not saying cook is going to be Amazing. Im saying he will be a quality back with the ravens and make their offense better. I'd love to be wrong about this, I don't want them getting better.
