im so curious how this season has altered his view and perception of the nfl and pro football, in general. Id love to have him back next year, and it probably won't happen cause our salary cap, but it would be cool. I'm hoping that he's enjoyed his time here so much that he wants to give it another go. He's made a good amount of money but I think a lot of teams will offer to pay him much more than we can.

I do bet there will be calls for qb competition and even replacement from a very small minority of fans (larger on other SM outlets) if we fail to win the SB this year especially if Brock doesn't play well in a loss.
Let's hope we avoid it for obvious reasons.

Evaluation goes beyond a player's skill. Health/durability is another aspect for example.
Either way, I don't disagree with you about him looking like the longterm answer and a very good QB. What I am arguing is it only helps us to have more time to evaluate prior to being forced to pay him high end money. Again it is never bad to have more information.
Def disagree with your understanding of why Trey was traded though.
