I can't wait for the "Hater" Fiction Novel you and SD are co-oping comes out.

You 2 are a real treasure

Agree to disagree. For me, I've seen Joe and Steve play. I've seen Jeff and Tim Rattay play, Jeff Kemp, Elvis Gerbac etc... I know what I see, and what I see in Purdy is a generational player. I think Kyle sees that too, considering Kyle's extensive experience first hand with some great QB's. He saw a good player in Jimmy - just from that 5-0 start - and got a Superbowl and three NFC Championship games out of Jimmy. I'm sure he sees something special in Purdy. That's why he traded Trey away.

Evaluation goes beyond a player's skill. Health/durability is another aspect for example.

Either way, I don't disagree with you about him looking like the longterm answer and a very good QB. What I am arguing is it only helps us to have more time to evaluate prior to being forced to pay him high end money. Again it is never bad to have more information.

Def disagree with your understanding of why Trey was traded though.

Seriously. Wait until these guys start talking about a QB completion this summer lol.

You're still trying really hard lol. Let it go already, Purdy isn't Jimmy he's a much better QB at every aspect of the game. 99% of the fan base is for Purdy.

Don't need to tell me that. Posters like random and ring still don't believe in Purdy.

Haha. You're still hurt I told you about Jimmy 5 years ago. And I was right. Get over it.

You acted like a little girl for years whenever you perceived someone as being even slightly critical of Jimmy. Now you're repeating the same behavior with Purdy. You seem to like creating haters in your mind where there aren't any.

He impresses me every week. The other players love him lots, I have not seen that kind of love from players over their qb. While some doubted him during the 3 game skid..his team did not, Kittle, specifically, was very outspoken in his confidence in BP. That he had all the confidence in the world in him but some jumped on the doubter train. And of course, they were wrong. It is crazy how fast he can incorporate newer things into the game and do them so well. A lot of things are just mad crazy in a good way about BP lol

A few weeks ago, darnold said that he's never been around a player in his life that processes as fast and well as Brock.

id really like a reporter to do an interview with darnold and get his take on how it's been being apart of this team. This is the first time he's been on a team that's won like this, so many great players, great organization, great coaches.

im so curious how this season has altered his view and perception of the nfl and pro football, in general. Id love to have him back next year, and it probably won't happen cause our salary cap, but it would be cool. I'm hoping that he's enjoyed his time here so much that he wants to give it another go. He's made a good amount of money but I think a lot of teams will offer to pay him much more than we can.

if he plays this last week, I hope he balls out so he can get a chance to start somewhere and show what he's learned here.

Donald said this? would love to see if you could find it!

I'm trying to remember where I heard it. I'm pretty sure it was from the broadcast team during one od
tbe games.

It was an anecdote from the Eagles game, IIRC.

Start at the 5min mark.

Brock didn't expose Trey. Brock exposed Jimmy.

Brock was miles better than both and that's why they are both gone now.

No one is rooting for Purdy to fail here.

I do bet there will be calls for qb competition and even replacement from a very small minority of fans (larger on other SM outlets) if we fail to win the SB this year especially if Brock doesn't play well in a loss.

Let's hope we avoid it for obvious reasons.

If there are fans calling for Purdy to be replaced in that scenario, you will not be able to hear them over the larger number of equally dumb calls to fire Kyle and/or Wilks. None of it is going to happen and Purdy, Kyle, and Wilks will all be here next year.

That's a fair point. Definitely think the calls for Kyle's job would be from a larger group as well.

Heh, Trey was traded because they had Brock, as for long term evaluation. That's on you. Generational stats say otherwise. Oh by the way - guess who's the record holder for most QB passing yardage for a storied 49er franchise that has *three* QB's in the hall of fame. I'll let you guess.

It's all good. The word *impossible* is an opinion.

The group that want Kyle to fail is much larger than any anti Purdy group.

Lol, you're just missing my point I guess. Can't really spell it out any clearer.

Like I said, I disagree with your point. I can't really spell it out any clearer.

I'll give them a slightly larger pass than the hypothetical anti Brock crew, simply because there's a bigger sample to form their Kyle 'can't win' opinions.

It would be like a 1/10 argument instead of a 0/10 though, lol.

Your point was pointless in the face of facts.
