Nobody should compare any QB statistically today to anyone playing before 2004.....unless somebody back then did something truly outrageous and compares favourably to today's game.

I hear Steve Young talking about him like that. But then again Steve has a HO for mobile QB's anyways

The good thing about Brock is that he is very self aware and the comments he made after the Ravens game really do show that he understands the mistakes he made and that he was trying to do too much and get the whole game back on 1 play.
I have absolutely no doubt he can lead us to #6 this year.
He didn't try to do too much. He was just unlucky. Three tipped ints? There was nothing structural that I saw that worried me.
He definitely did try to do too much. He checked to a pass on the 2nd interception when the DBs were blitzing. Potentially the correct check in that situation but threw the pass too quickly. The third interception he forced a ball into coverage knowing that there was already an offense penalty on his line. Listen to his post game press conference. He clearly tried to do too much and he admitted it.
Totally agree, he did try to do too much. I honestly think the MVP crap excited him and got in his head a little, why else was he so pass heavy.
Agree 💯%, I think the MVP talk got to him and Kyle too. They can't tune it all out, despite them both trying, in my opinion.

I think there were a couple other throws that could have been picked off too. The one behind Deebo comes to mind and there was another one too unless that was Darnold. It could have been a 7 int game. Before Darnold came in he still had the offensive out-gaining the Ravens 355 to 343 yds but a chunk of that was against prevent before he got hurt. Then again, that 1st drive before the Hamilton end zone pick seemed to foreshadow another blowout. Too bad Shanny couldn't have adjusted the game plan a bit earlier. BP will be just fine. And yes, not sure how much worse it can get unless he starts to lose his offensive weapons and protection. He's paid his dues against the Ravens, Browns, and Vikings. I'm sure we'll see a better BP because of this - but the turnovers in bunches trends is a bit worrisome.
Btw, CMC got his rushing yards but he was getting stonewalled on some inside runs. I thought he was hurt on that one bear hugging tackle by the Raven's DT. So maybe a blessing in disguise is that CMC escaped unscathed (anti-jinx).
Yup it could've been a lot worse I can't disagree with you there. I really would love to know what was going through his head during that game, it was just so unlike Purdy to make all those mistakes. His second pick in that game that Brandon Stephens got, IMO, was Purdy's fault. Why, he could've pumped faked or taken the sack. The third one was just s**t luck, then again it could've also been bad ball placement and/or miscommunication. The fourth one was a good read by that fairy LB oh I mean Queen.
f**k the Ravens!!! Sucks because I liked Lamar Jackson coming outta college but he's a Raven so f**k him!!!!!
As others have said, bad coaching, bad playing, and probably a certain overconfidence on top of that - resulted in the loss. Got to win against Commanders and Rams to wash that defeat out of their minds.

Abso-frickin-lutley!!!!! I'm praying these last two weeks of the regular season go as planned. Give Purdy a chance in the Super Bowl and he will not disappoint us I have no doubt!!!!

Again, its in relation to Purdy's INT's, everything else you just mentioned is irrelevant. My main point is to not overreact to Purdy's INT's.

I'm not overreacting to Purdy's ints, as there was more bad luck than bad QB'ing in that game. Everything I mentioned is relevant because you can't point to a QB's interception number when he won an MVP in a totally different era when it comes to passing the ball.

It's pretty hilarious (Cosell is correct btw) that the narrative after that game was that 'SF got bullied'....even some Raven player was talking about 'basketball on the field' or some stuff. The best I can say is that the Ravens defense was opportunistic...which I applaud them for. They have a good defense....some really good players.
But bullied? Not so much.

Why not?? The next year he brought the number down drastically. I don't see the point you're trying to make. As you can see every good to great QB throws picks. And you are overreacting because you went deep on the subject with Warners stats. 22 INT and he not only won the MVP but was back in the Super Bowl. And I wasn't talking about you but more so other teams fans and media.

My thoughts exactly. A couple of bad breaks and one bad read from Purdy. It is what it is. Let them think they're the best. We will steamroll them if we meet next time.
