Brock is SO ADVANCED. Look at this ish man. Good god. You think Trey or Jimmy is recognizing this? I think not.

Damn good video, love the part about Purdy vs Cover 0 and how he knew he had to take on Jevon Holland. Crossing my fingers and toes, Purdy is the one!!!!

He's presumably been with her the whole time. I suspect THAT is the reason there are no videos of him making it rain on a stripper. If not, it means his friends are actually trustworthy, which would maybe be something else Trey needs to work on.

Regardless, the problem here isn't that a 21 year old is having fun. It's that a 21 year old QB whose entire public façade is about how he's laser focused, Christian, responsible, aware of his public image, etc. This was a lapse, man. It's a lapse because it's in conflict with the public image he had been cultivating since he was 14 years old on Twitter. And yes I went through his entire history before the draft. The guy was Mr. Rogers online.

But whatever, we obviously have different opinions on how the QB should behave. You think he should be one of the guys, I think he should be a step above. But regardless, if a QB wants to be a badboy, he damned well better perform on the field.

Like I said you need proper friends to do that s**t when you're famous. Go ask Derek Jeter. Those dudes are rolling into Vegas and they ain't going to Blue Man Group bud 😂

the problem is you or I have absolutely no idea when that video happened. That s**t could have been from NDSU all the same. People hold onto stuff and post it whenever.

yes we clearly have a different opinion on how young men with a ton of cash will behave. I'm more realistic with all that. In what world does going to a strip club or bachelor party equal being a bad boy lol?

Absolutely possible. Bottom line is this guy has a f**king Judas among his friends.

As far as "in what world, etc," for a QB, being a bad boy is not being a golden boy. Jimmy? Bad boy. His chiseled face gave him a pass for banging a pr0n star and ignoring his phone.

Why would anyone need a pass for dating someone?

It isn't relative to anything.

He didn't "date" her, he dumped his girlfriend to have a one night stand with her after he got his money. Look, you can say it's unfair or sexist, but your QB banging a herpes trap is not a good look. l

What does that matter though? Who cares how he looks to fans of other teams? He is loved here.

Pro athletes run through woman. No one cares. Perks of the job.
Purdy is more polished than Lance simply due to the fact he has 4 years of FBS college experience. that's a lot of football. Lance has some catching up to do. but it's evident when it comes to his poise and pocket presence, as well as mental processing.
This is just another way of saying the "it" factor.

Some guys in here says it doesn't exist. f**k yes it exists. Even Steve Young says it exists. Tom Brady has it. Joe Montana has it. Steph has it.

He's passing the tests so far but we don't know if Purdy has "it" or "the Force" or whatever you want to call it, yet.

We all thought Kaepernick and Jimmy had "it" after 3 games. The Rams thought Goff had "it" after 3 seasons. Look how they turned out.

Well I don't care about Lance vs Purdy's 40 yard dash times, Brock looks way more mobile and quicker than Lance. I'm only using my own eyesight from watching them in games. This is not up for debate, as it is my own experience.

I was disappointed with how "slow" Lance looked in his limited action.

This does NOT mean that Lance can't be all that we hope he will be, it only means that to my eyes, Purdy is better in the pocket than Lance just in the limited time I have watched both play.

Lance runs faster in long distance for sure. I am not sure about short distance as Purdy has an amazing 10 yard split time for a QB. I also don't know Brock is more agile than Lance.

Right now Brock he can evade the pass rusher better because based on the pre-snap and post snap read he more likely knows it when there is a free rusher. He is also better at just feeling the pocket collapsing.

He nets us a Superbowl win and looks good(Doesn't even have to look great), I will hand him the "It" factor. Especially if he orchestrates a 4th quarter comeback drive.

I am not sure many were ever completely sold on Kaepernick.

Jimmy G and Goff will easily start in this league for more than a decade. Not too shabby.

In your opinion, is the "it" factor binary? Meaning either a player has the "it", or he doesn't? Or are there varying degrees of the "it"?

I'll do you one better then:

Gardner Minshew. Had an even higher passer rating than Purdy in his first three starts. And all three starts were against 2019 playoff teams (though the Jags only went 1-2).

Now, let me be clear that I really, really badly want Purdy to be that guy. We've been searching for that guy for decades now and have been tricked at least three times into thinking we've finally found him. It's just that three games is not enough to know that he is him given that there have been cases where much larger sample sizes weren't enough.

3 INT and 10 sacks for Minshew in those 3 games.

No Trent/Kittle/Aiyuk/Deebo/CMac in those 3 games either.

I agree sample size is too small.

But regarding on Gardner Minshew. He has fumble issues throughout his career. In his first 3 starts, he had 3 fumbles. In terms of ESPN QBR, first 3 start Minshew was probably at around 51, Brock Purdy at 68.
not gonna lie, I did think Jimmy was "the one" until the league found the blueprint

pretty sure there's also a blueprint for purdy but by the time the league finds out, it might be too late.
