Man, all 3 guys in open competion to start? Kyle nearly blew a gasket with Trey/Jimmy with all the media questions. I don't see it.

On the flip side, if it somehow worked out like that, Kyle might not give af too much because he simply wants the best QB room he can get. And that mentality saved this season.

Jimmy G doesn't need too many reps, look at this year where he had no preseason and just a couple of weeks getting back up reps. Won the first game against the chooks when Trey went down and ended up winning 70% of his games.

Purdy went in this week without throwing a ball on a football field. Just a couple of passing in a ballroom during a walk through.

Two of the three don't need a lot of reps. Does the one who does really qualify to be the starter?

I like all 3 for 3 different skill sets. So it doesn't matter to me as much as Kyle still runs this b***h.

ok i want Trey screw this brock purdy kid. i've seen some of his low lights and yeah that's all in the past but i don't even want to go through all of this all over again like Kirk Cousins 2.0. No way Jose and Maria, I'm done with that kind of QB. Give me tuned and polished Trey Lance.

Horrible comparison,....as you are overrating Jimmy G's accomplishments in the "middle of the field."

Once the playoffs came, much of that stuff was taken away and he looked pretty bad. The hope is that the same doesn't happen to Purdy.

Teams adjust to a QB's strengths. It's just a fact of life. Don't expect him to rip through the rest of the season and the playoffs unfazed. This roster is what has allowed him to look as good as he has,...and it's not an independent accomplishment thus far or anything.

You opinion failed to take into account that he had a torn shoulder and broken thumb. Different player after the shoulder operation.

Totally. Lance will cost $9,301,434 next year with Purdy costing, $889,253. That is one cheap QB room. And draft another Mr. Relevant.

Gonna get your Center with the savings

Any one of the 3 1st round picks would have grabbed a nice center too fml

And hindsight is always 20/20. LOL

For real. Give it up. The dumbs**t comments about the 2 first round picks we gave up is rather annoying. Get lost if you can't get over that.

We used 3 1st and a 3rd bro, and it's hard to get over such a terrible move.

It is what it is. The NFL draft is just a big gamble. To act like those draft picks crippled our organization is short sighted and comes from fans just looking for a reason to b***h when there really is anything to b***h about today.

This always bothers me.

Draft picks have no other purpose then to gamble with them. The more talent a team has on it, the less valuable the picks are.

People also forget that Picks cost money too in yearly salary. So you pay to gamble.

Trading those picks for Trey was a solid gamble, and you could argue that combined with the picks that went out for CMC are the reason the 49ers could AFFORD CMC.

From the way I understand it, and I could be wrong....There is roughly 8 million in salary missing due to the Trey Lance trade. Add in another 2-3 million for the draft capital that was spent getting CMC and it seems like solid book keeping to me.

…for the moment, yes!

How about a little gratitude that the season didn't end with Jimmy G's injury? Freakin' amazing!

You are so right. We should bench Purdy in favor of Josh Johnson. We have a better chance of making a deep playoff run with him than with Purdy.

Why don't you just sit back, stop being a pessimist and enjoy the show?

Your right. Purdy sucks because I watched some clips of him turning the ball over in College. I will forget about what he has done in the past 3 games and demand Josh Johnson to be the starter from here on out. Thank you for opening up my eyes.
