I mean so you expect everyone to praise him right now? Backbreaking TOs in 3 straight losses.
unlike like others, I don't think Brock is the biggest concern here.
Can he play from behind or lead a team to a victory when everyone else isn't playing at an elite level? So far that's a question mark. IMO he was always gonna go through this, he's young and still developing. It's on him to not turn the ball over like he has in those moments though.

He doesn't seem to know how to check down, it's either "Jesus catch the ball" or he's running for his life.
If CMC is in on 3rd down he has to be open somewhere

Because it was the end of the game & they have a bye week, everyone will pretend nothing happened.
It was a terrible idea to play him 6 days after a #concussion. pic.twitter.com/Nz8JudCuR1
this line gonna get him hurt for sure...there was a couple of plays that a lineman just got blown up instantly like that.
Pretty crazy Purdy was able to put up 370ish yards getting hammered the way he was.
I mean 70 yards was on that last drive, which was straight trash time vs a prevent D. Overall I don't think the OL was horrible pass blocking. That was just the live view. He got hit sure. So does every QB (unless you're playing against SF).
I disagree with the he shouldn't have played or using a concussion to make an excuse for the mistakes. He passed all the protocols. It's an independent neurologist that clears him. There's been multiple players that came back in a week just this yr.
everyone on this team has to play better, including our QB

I mean both of Brock's INT happened on 1st down yesterday. Last week one INT was on 1st down and the other was on 2nd down.
So kinda disagree there.

Unless it's been 34+ games I will never declare we found a franchise QB. EVER.

I see Carroll marching up and down the sideline firing up his players. He's no play calling genius but he gets the most out of what he has. Saleh and Ryans were the same way as DCs and now as HCs.
It sounds to simple but something is missing from this team. Even when they were winning the D has had trouble getting teams off the field. Opposing teams are picking the zone defense apart and the DBs don't seem to be able to cover when they switch to man defense. That's why my forst choice for Lynch would be Surtain if it's at all possible. They haven't had a DB that can cover the best receiver one on one for years. Maybe that would allow them to play man a little better. The soft zone is allowing teams to hold the ball too long. Not many 3 and outs.

Brock has thrown some amazing throws and completions. Despite what the heck is going on I still feel like he can march it down the field and win it any given Sunday. What does he have, three more games and it's officially one full football year of play? It hasn't even been one full football year yet in play. I look at the over all package and not only is he the one but he will be the one for years to come. Don't understand the hate.
Im more annoyed with Wilks.

A part of it is missing perhaps the best OT in football to make things better. Another part though is I think teams are better able to recognize what he's good at and what he's not good at.
As someone has said he seems to be a timing QB. So some of those throws began to get telegraphed with enough film if he's not more-able in other areas.

he hasn't even had one full ear of football. He's still learning All true. Yet for some reason they weren't willing to stay with Lance who had 3 fewer years in college and only 4 starts in the NFL. Purdy has far more experience than most QBs have when they come out of college. One exception might be Bo Nix. I think he's about 30 now.

ok drop 70 off it
So 295 yards passing, 50 yards on the ground.... for a dude who got hit 8 times and sacked twice when he was not running for his life....he had one of the more difficult 300 yard games.
There is a correlation between protecting your QB and 300 yard games....that was my point.

I gotcha ya. Overall doesn't matter if you're tossing INTs in the red zone or when you need to make a play.
The bigger issue on the OL imo is the lack of being able to run the ball then pass-pro.

I mean that's no different than Jimmy's issue here as well.
brock is gonna have those throws. Had them in college & they were there last yr just didn't get picked like they are now.
